Price changes when you change dates, this was the cheapest I could find. Feel free to have a browse though and see what you can find :D

Good price.

Now that the americans have been advised against traveling to euorpe, you might find quite a lot of bargains poping up. keep a look on lastminute.com I got 4 nights in new york, flights by AA and hotel on Lexington Ave 5 min from Broadway for £400 PP inc last month.

Could you link this deal with the Queen Mary 2 deal earlier?

Just for the record is likely to be veerrrreeee cold in January!
#15
Oh, a lovely cheap flight just like I was looking for.

Mind you, only reason I haven't bought yet is that I'm not keen on the bedbug situation in NY.

And for you peeps out there that think I'm paranoid, maybe I am, but I travel NY regularly (every 6 weeks or so) and the bedbug situation is now pretty chronic.

Still, heat as it's a bargain!

WOW! Thats amazing! Please share the dates?

Managed flights through an Aussie site two years ago from this 'site, something ridiculous like £160 return in November, which was a little chilly! This price is still really good, can't argue with it at all.
#18
My partner and I went last January and the weather was fine. Obviously not quite T-shirt and shorts but still fine.
Paid about £450 for 5 nights IIRC.

Went last week in September, booked about a month before that, just searched flight+hotel, you have to look down the list as the first option was not the cheapest, Hotel was the Doubletree Hilton you don't get a room booked in your name but a voucher from a third party to show at reception all was ok though it was accepted.

I once got a return flight from Gatwick to JFK with Delta airlines for £150, courtesy of this site. Yes, a return for £150!! It was AWESOME! The company later phoned me to inform me that it was an error on their behalf but that they would still honour it, and fair play they did. Not so bad after all these Yanks.

I never did thank the OP, so thank you if you're watching!

Thats a good price..

Great find this. I dont recall ever seeing these at this price.

I was there over these dates this January and I had a great time. It was a bit chilly, but nothing a big coat didn't see to!

Yeah. I got that as well. I went in January 2009 and the weather as not bad. Cold at about -15C but sunny for the whole 9 days. And NY is amazing. But rent an apartment and you'll save lots of money comparing to stat in a hotel

I just had a quick look over that period for 2 people and it jumped up in price by £80 pp

http://www.netflights.com/flights/flight-results.aspx?from=LHR&to=NYC&itf=False&sof=True&nf=True&chf=True&pf=True&caf=True&depdate=08%2f01%2f2011&arrdate=13%2f01%2f2011&adults=2&cabin=Economy

Is there anyway of doing both for £550? Also, never been before, what is the cheapest and best accommodation and how much should I expect to pay?

Not a good price at all. What on earth are you expecting to do in America for five days ? Even a month is arguably not enough, which is slightly less than double the price and yet much more time. Save up instead.

I once went to NYC in Feb and it was very coooooooooooooooooooold.

Brrrrrrrr.

Voted hot....I wanted to go in March for my BDAY but my gf needs a US Visa (e.g. another $150) :-(

(BTW found couple of flights in March for 268)

Its pretty sad, that £274 with rubbish dates is considered hot. But it is. Ive only been to NY 3 times, all within the last 5 years. First two times paid £229 and £309 for flights and 3 nights accommodation. Last summer I paid £340 just for flights, We were touring so didn't need the accomodation, but still expensive.

Guess your not a FF as you will be aware that taxes have gone up... I am not rating this but its not a bad price. Last year a price from MAN to HKG was around £350-£450 but you now try and get a flight for £450! The cheapest i got was £490.

You can still get bargins but not as cheap as they were.

Currently i am in Doha (DOH) wait for my flight to Buenos Aires (EZE) - £360 booked in June flying from Madrid (MAD) with Qatar. I just got a LCC (EasyJet) flight to Madrid - so for some deals you may need to start from outside the UK.

I went in March a couple of years ago (over Easter) for about £180 rtn, and it was hella cold. And not just cold, it was incredibly windy too, to the extent that I never got to go on the Staten Island ferry cos it looked way too rough. If I go back it'll be in the summer.
#35
NYC is best enjoyed when the weather is pleasant.

I used to go around May and it was fine.
#36
I prefer the cold to the heat as long as it's not raining.
#37
why is this expired? there are still flights available for this price
