As title!
American Airlines is selling an abundance of transatlantic seats during its Easter sale, from London Heathrow and Manchester, until 22 April.

Return journeys to New York start from £299, Boston £313, Dallas £385, LA £393 plus others, including most taxes & charges and availability is good.

You can travel between 12 April and 30 June, plus 1 September and 31 October. Flights during the traditional summer holiday period leap to between £500 and £600 so if you want to travel with kids, think about the May half term instead. Your travel must include at least one Saturday night.

Is £299 to NYC really a good deal? I'm aware taxes and charges have gone up over the years, but in 2007 I paid £245 inclusive to JFK with united.

around £300 is normal for return to new york so not really a good deal...

Depends when you want to travel - this was an excellent deal for October half term - the cheapest by about £75 per person (there are five of us travelling and the next best deal was £1900 vs. £1600 this cost) - so a big thank you and thumbs up from me :-)

Just checked Kayak and you can also get the same prices with Delta Airlines, another US carrier.

Hello, yes I wanted to check for the prices for you Doovde

Hi there, so how much is cheap to go NY? i planning to go to states in June =(

If you can avoid this airline however, in my opinion Easyjet are better than AA!
They also fly old boeing 767's to Boston, which are cramped and small.

i think he was just comparing quality of service, easyjet don't fly to the states.
but someone mentioned Delta for the same price earlier in the thread, I would say if you have the opportunity take Delta over AA for sure. AA flies tiny planes transatlantic which are terribly outdated especially in the entertainment (we got ONE old film on a tv screen so tiny and far away I could only just make out the characters), and my sandwhich contained ham with icicles on it. no free alcohol either. booooo.
go delta, i flew with them it was awesome.

Here is my plan: go this weekend, buy 10 ipads, sell 9 on ebay when I get back making a 100 each and this will cover my costs with some profit on top :)

I will be declaring them... the 100 quid profit on each is after customs.. will buy for £324 and they sell on ebay for at least £500

i didnt think £299 to NY was that cheap, i dont know if any of you remember the Delta airlines price error. Loads of us on here including me got return flights to NY from Manchester for £149 pp. Now that was a HOT DEAL XX
#16
You could look at other things that you can't buy here at all like the Asus UL30VT laptop, or stuff not released here....

This is actually a pretty good deal to go direct. It's also quite rare to see such an availability of dates.

If I wasn't already going in June I'd be booking with this deal.

And to the guy who is going over to buy iPads... it's a seriously sound idea... the prices for iPads that are already in the UK are insane. Enjoy the trip.

Having booked 2 flights there the past few weeks i'd say that isn't true these days. Been closer to £400 the past few years every time i've looked.

Booked Manchester to JFK via LHR for October 1/2 term.
Worked out at £366 per person. Pretty good deal if you ask me!
