Hardwood Deck boards don't come cheap but these seemed to be reasonable as they are normally double this price at least. I just picked up 50 from Wallasey B&Q and found constant quality bar the odd knot & Shake but plenty to sift through to get good grain. I didn't have much time to research price through out the web so there may well be cheaper but I doubt by a lot at £2.12p/linear m.

Untreated and at 19mm think it will be very bouncy without spending 3x more on your base frame so by the time you have done that and stained it this could be very costly.

you dont need to treat hardwood if you don't want - it will just weather to silver grey - the grain is too tight to allow substantial ingress of water. Best use decking oil (£20 for 2 coats of 10m2) to preserve colour and longevity - why would you buy hardwood then stain it?? kind of defeats the purpose. 19mm HARDWOOD will not be springy if joist centres are adequate?? I never said it was super cheap but better than green tanalised softwood that ends up looking like a glorified pallet IMO. At the end of the day this IS cheap for the boards if you want hardwood with uniform colour/grain.

I went for the cheaper £2.38p ones due to my budget & needing it done quickly.

Be warned a lot of their decking online is reserve & collect only & not for home delivery. I spoke to customer services who confirmed this & suggested trying in-store to get the store to do home delivery. The lady we spoke to in-store (Sidcup) was not very helpful when we could not find them in-store & said the stock showing online was probably reserved by another customer and she didn't even check which ones we wanted. She did say they did do home delivery but it was a 3 week wait.
However a couple of days later I telephoned the store, spoke to someone else who told me they delivered to my area daily & had spaces available for the start of the next week.
So we ordered our 80 deck boards online for in-store collection. I rang the store to confirm the stock before going to the store again & the very kind lady took my payment & order for home delivery over the phone to save me the trip back to the store.
Just sharing my experience in case others need home delivery.
These hardwood ones were my first choice until I saw the cheaper ones so opted for those.

I should have said treat rather than stain.

19mm is still pretty thin and even with adequate joist support, yes the color is nicer and put down to a very high standard will be fine but probably not the best for a diy job.

Robj thank you. at this price, this decking is the nuts.

maybe not quite as durable as the likes of balau, but simply no contest in looks compared to pine. picked up enough for a 20+ sqm deck from queensferry, seems to be a fair bit of stock in this area.

also got even more off with the voucher, made up.

Anyone got any advice on the best deck oil to use with red grandis?

Cheers
