The hard drives can be used with any computer. Micro USB with power to USB cable required, it's just like a portable hard drive.

Ah but it's a car that matches your other cases and... It's got magnets! Joking aside if you have the machine you probably like the idea of matching drives. So as a generic 1tb drive it would be cold. But that's not the post...

Not just external hard drive. Price is a little higher for a purpose.
