I have membership so can't use this deal, but Wisley is a great place for a family day out. The hothouse is great, so have some more heat :D
At a quick glance, I thought this said "HMP Risley, it's dead easy to get in there, just do an armed robbery."
Wicked, why not on Saturday? No car, can't go! Shame. Love a day out.
myrrhstar
Expect to sit in traffic for some time as these free open days cause chaos around the M25/A3 junction. From past experience we sat in traffic for about 1 hour.
There's always traffic even without free open days @M25/A3 junction interchange.:|
Normally is only on M25.Always traffic by the Heathrow Airport junctions. If going on A3 is ok.The traffic is caused by the interchange roundabout, with traffic waiting to get on or off the M25.
It's gets very busy so go early. Parking is free but there are long queues to get in to the carparks. It is all done by marshalls so you may not get in to the closest parks if you arrive later as they will direct you to the empty spaces further away. It's a great day out.

Voted hot, thank you. This link will be very useful to me and I don't want to buy any more reference books and do see this as the alternative. :).
Btw, ceres may note that most freebies don't get that much heat, so it really would be a waste of time for anyone to post in the freebies section for anything other than goodwill.
Jumpingphil
Or have I missed something?

Yes.
Thanks a lot - just what I needed ;)
purplemirror

Why are you calling this " deception" and "spin".

Because the '£48' saving is fictitious. If you just wanted to give people a heads-up about a useful database, you could have done so without the made-up 'savings'. The books are NOT the same thing as the database and vice versa.
A lot of bickering around today.
I think this a great freebie find
so thank you to purplemirror &
have some heat.

Anybody else noticed that bee numbers are dramatically down this year.

Area where I would normally see loads of bees now have only one or two.

That's interesting I've noticed more bees where I live whereas previous years we've only had a few. In fact the other day one came and sat on my shoulder and was looking at me. Luckily it didn't sting me but it was very close to my face oO

Me too, loads here in Berkshire. We even had a nest in one of the upper air bricks, lovely to see them buzzing around. BTW, bees won't sting unless frightened/agitated, it's a death wish for them! Just keep calm and they go away, as will wasps. People usually get stung because they panic and flap around! I get loads of bees coming in to my glass kitchen extension and regularly rescue them and put them back outside by gently catching them either on a fluffy duster (they seem to be attracted to its blue colour) or if they are a bit dopey due to being in there a while on my open hand. I've even hand fed them sugar solution when they are weak and have never been stung.

Good to hear that some people are getting lots of bees. I'm in the midlands so may be a local effect.
Bees galore this year. I threw meadow flower seeds around the garden and it's gone wild. Thanks for post.

I know they don't like to sting, bit of a bad design for the poor bee. If one comes in the house they go straight to the window luckily so we just open that and the door and they soon make their way back out. Wasps on the other hand I don't like, I wouldn't kill one but the fact that they can sting multiple times i don't like especially for me as I do suffer from allergies (I don't know whether I'm allergic to them though never been stung (touch wood) ) Of course the king of them all is the hornet I've only seen them a couple of times and they are huge. Now if I'm scared of any that would be the one. :)

Actually I know the gardens at one of my local parks has got flowers that attract bees and there was a lot. It was nice to see them all busy collecting their pollen.

I received packets of beetroot, tomatoes, chillis and pumpkin seeds - a lovely mix, though we won't use the pumpkin seeds pack but my neighbour will certainly appreciate and use the seeds so I'll give them to her to grow them with her grandson.

And can you, csiman, imagine the "nightmare" it is currently for colour-blind gardeners?

And have you never heard of W3C?

so 99% of the population get disadvantaged to help the 1%. Thats fair! :whistling:

just do one yourself. its not exactly difficult lol

wtf has it got to do with w3c lolz

cos some veg have both Sow indoors and outdoors at the same time!

You could have SB for sow both but imagine how bad it would be compared to how good it looks now

Brilliant idea! :)

Just a shame it has to rely on colour. (It would be nice if the coloured bars were replaced with strips of the letters "SI" or "SO" or "H" or "P" repeatedly typed). Then those of us who are colour blind (or only have access to monochrome printers) would find it accessible too.

that would just make it plainly unreadable!
