Would NOT even drink this if it were FREE.. just look at the list of ingredients with chemical names. That's why I call chemotherapy.

I drink six pints of ribena a day. And I'm awesome. Honest.

Both Lidl and Aldi's own brand blackurrant is far far better than Ribena and around £1-10p a bottle.Ribena is nothing like it used to be its been watered down.

Ingredients:
Water, Sugar, Glucose Fructose Syrup, Blackcurrant Juice from Concentrate (5%), Citric Acid, Vitamin C, Preservatives (Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Bisulphite), Colour

To be honest it really has very little nasty stuff in it compared to a fair few soft drinks! Sugar is fine as long as you burn it off:thumbsup:

Good deal, hot from me!

Yea most of those are natural ingrediants (apart from the preservatives and colour). It's hardly chemotherapy.
Voted hot.

With a meagre 5% juice the liquid in the bottle is very brightly and thickly coloured!

yeah but full of sugar:thinking:

my point being, it isnt a low fat version that is also available, but a low sugar variety, all cordials are virtually fat free.

It's immoral to give your kids that much sugar in one serving.
The time will come when drinks like this are banned

and why exactly are people who hate ribena so much reading this thread?

sugar is much healthier thatn the cocktail of sweeteners people are poisoning themselves with these days...

Agreed, as long as its diluted correctly theres no problem, if you dont brush your teeth correctly you will have problems regardless.
Also i agree would much rather the sugary version over the "no added sugar, but lots of nasty sweetners" version.

Oh here we go. I grew up when Ribena was thick with all the syrup inside. Was got as a treat and a pick up for when we were poorly. Enjoyed it hot with a disprin in. Immoral to give kids so much sugar? Are you mad? Immoral to let children on the net in their bedroom alone but a sugary drink now and again? Alot of bad behaviour nowadays has been pointed to diet but disapline plays a vital point. I knew if I played up (or went loopy) I got a clout.
