Website just worked fine for me on firefox! I thought I'd have to scan a receipt like others, but no! Also, Ribena are not losing money, Tescos are the ones who have the product on offer - it won't affect what they're paying Ribena to buy it will it now? ;)/quote]
Normally the manufacturers stand the cost of product being on deal, not the supermarkets.

If the Ribena website is not working correctly for you, do not fear. Here's how to get around the issues.

Firstly, I'm totally convinced this was a big "f*ck you" to the consumer. It seems Ribena have made this deal as difficult as possible for the customer to claim their money back, and here's why:

1) The website (https://www.ribena.co.uk/try-me/free) results in a "security warning" in all the major browsers. Users of Firefox will see a "Get me out of here!" dialogue, whereas Chrome, Opera, etc. will see something like "invalid security certificate." This will scare off most users right off the bat, but just click "Add Exception", "I understand", or "Continue" to get past this.

Screenshot here: http://i.imgur.com/VtkaKoK.png

2) When you pass the first stage of the Ribena We-Hate-The-Customer Gauntlet™, you have to enter your email to continue. Note that they've disabled copying and pasting your email, forcing you to type it twice. A minor niggle, but still. They've also disabled so-called "plus addressing" meaning you can't enter an email containing a "+" character e.g. [email protected].

3) Now you'll probably find that the web page doesn't display correctly. The form you need to fill out is very "conveniently" hidden below other parts of the page, and there is no vertical scrollbar to let you scroll down.

Screenshot from Firefox: http://i.imgur.com/9Z4x8QR.jpg
Screenshot from Chrome: http://i.imgur.com/MdtzYlS.jpg
Screenshot from Opera: http://i.imgur.com/fDwzCCY.jpg
Screenshot from Internet Explorer: http://i.imgur.com/lfbKs8y.jpg

In order to scroll down, you have to press your *middle* mouse button - the scroll wheel - inside an empty part of the form. Middle-click this area and then you can use your mouse to scroll down the form and fill the rest in.

4) In part of the form, Ribena asks you to rate their products with a difficult-to-understand system where you have to click each product in the order of your preference. I misunderstood this first time round, and left them all blank. You actually have to click all four products, like this:

5) If you make a mistake on any part of the form, of course it doesn't actually *tell* you, you have to physically scroll back up the whole form to see where the mistake lies. So if the form is not submitting correctly for you, make sure to scroll back up and check there are no error messages.

6) If you've made it through that hell, congratulations. Make sure you cash Ribena's cheque with great satisfaction. After all, you've worked for it.

Also please don't forget to cash the cheques - that's what they're counting on.

All in all, this was a massive "screw the consumers" move by Ribena.

Oh, and if anyone from Ribena is reading this, I'm available for web design consulting. Seriously. You need it.

In all honesty, that seems a bit like paranoid thinking! Could it not be they're just having some problems partly caused by the unexpected exponential increase of visitors or by some measures they had to take in order to cope with the influx spike?
BTW, the site is working perfectly for me just now (but then, I am on a Mac, the superior platform... Oopsie, now I've done it!LET THE MAYHEM COMMENCE!!!!!!X) )

no `try me free` covers at tesco old kent road.

perhaps the staff have purloined them all?

i bought a couple of bottles anyway at £1.

not bad for £1 once i realised (from belated reading of the label) that one is supposed to dilute the mixture.

Didn't think this was quite a freebie as you have to purchase the Ribena. Take the receipt for the Ribena (I bought a 500ml bottle from WH Smiths but you can get it anywhere as long as its today)
