When it comes to producing 26" LCD TVs, few do it as well as LG. For proof of this you need look no further than their 26LC46 model.

Featuring their New XD image processor, the 26LC46 is a top performer. Consisting of a raft of technical features that visibly improves the clarity, stability and contrast of the picture, XD image processing makes for a noticeable improvement in picture quality. A wide viewing angle, high contrast ratio and class-leading refresh rate of just 3ms, complete a specification that helps create the class-leading picture quality.

Yet, the 26LC46 offers more than just a stunning picture. With its built-in Freeview tuner, this is one 26" Digital LCD TV with which you can enjoy the benefits of a digital tuner without the need for a separate box. Better still, this is a high spec receiver which features an eight day EPG (Electronic Program Guide), optical digital output and CI slot - ideal for the ever popular Setanta Sport.

Aside from the optical digital output and CI slot, the 26LC46 is comprehensively equipped with every type of socket you're likely to need. Twin SCART sockets are matched by a brace of HDMI inputs - ideal for the ever-growing number of components that now use this digital connection. In addition to this you'll also find an analogue PC input, component and S-Video sockets. In short, you'd be very unlucky not to find the 26LC46 fully compatible with your home cinema system.

In terms of style, this classy 26" LCD TV is, yet again, ahead of the pack. The same iconic, crisp styling that's proved so popular with their mobile phone range is present here. It's a classic, unfussy design that's unlikely to date and also doesn't draw the eye away from the picture which, let's face it, is the real reason for buying a TV in the first place!

For a 26" LCD TV that combines understated good looks with a stunning picture quality, the LG 26LC46 deserves your attention.

When you copy all of the sales spiel from the web page, not just a few details such as spec and price, it does raise a question or two in my mind, when the links are there so that the full details and sale pitch can be seen as and when wanted.

i couldn't care less whether a post is from richer sounds director - as long as its a deal

however, this one is merely warm

Warm? Having to spend £300 for a 26inch HDTV is cold in my book. The Vistron 26inch HDTV is £60 cheaper from Ebuyer isn't it? For this price I expect at least a 32inch HDTV. For around £370 you can get a very highly rated Toshiba 32AV!

Voted cold.

I'm not a Richer Sounds employee but I am more than happy to praise them as I think they are the best retailer I have purchased from and I have bought items from ther many times.

Their prices are keen and importantly the sales staff are there to advise you and not to push gear you dont want or need on to you a la the Curries/Dixons combine or Comet.

Well done Richer Sounds I say

pondrew - your comments would hold more water, but you're essentially talking about bigger tv's.

Some people need or prefer a 26" set. The simple fact is that these size sets ARE relatively expensive when compared to bigger screens.

As things stand, this represents reasonable value for money, especially given it is a more recognisable manufacturer than vistron.
