Voted hot though Aspartame is linked to Alzimers and not recommended for children . It is contained in coke and other diet drinks as well. Wish it had stevia or fruit alcohol as sweetner.

Your worried about a sweetener!, how about all those carcinogenic fumes in the very air you breath from diesel vehicles then? Or the threat to our water supply that is Fracking! Or that new nuclear power plant they are building?, Those things worry me more! :|

All of the sweetners are under attack from one source or another all the time! I don't like many things that are sweet but it's so hard to avoid them. If you read the ingredients label them there in over 90% of processed food. Advertisers even use the word SWEET to try to sell their produce.

The difference is you don't have control over all those things you've mentioned but you do have control as to what you put into your body. You can't compare the two.

Do these still have the warning on the packet about excessive consumption having a laxative effect?

When they say excessive, it's not that excessive.
Believe me, I speak from experience...... oO
