Great price for a great box set. A collection of films from acclaimed director Ridley Scott.

Gladiator, Black Hawk Down, GI Jane, Someone To Watch Over Me and Hannibal

Gladiator (2000): The great Roman General Maximus (Russell Crowe) has once again led the legions to victory on the battlefield. The war won, Maximus dreams of home, wanting only to return to his wife and son; however, the dying Emperor Marcus Aurelius (Richard Harris) has one more duty for the general - to assume the mantle of his power.

Jealous of Maximus' favor with the emperor, the heir to the throne, Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix), orders his execution - and that of his family. Barely escaping death, Maximus is forced into slavery and trained as a gladiator in the arena where his fame grows.

Now he has come to Rome, intent on avenging the murder of his wife and son by killing the new emperor; Commodus....

Black Hawk Down (2002) Somalia, October 1993. Stationed outside the capital Mogadishu, a group of U.S. Special Forces are present as part of a United Nations peace keeping force. Food supplies and aid for the starving population are often seized by the army of ruling warlord Mohammad Farrah Aidid, who has proved elusive to the U.S forces. Intent on toppling his rule, Major General William Garrison (Sam Shepard) is content for now with planning to seize Aidid's lieutenants. It's with this intention that he sends a squad of Rangers and Delta commandos deep into hostile territory in Mogadishu, but his best laid plans go awry when the troops find themselves engaged in a hellish shooting match...

With its harrowing, state-of-the-art depiction of combat, Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down stands as one of the most visceral and frightening portraits of what it's like to be caught up in a war situation.

GI Jane (1997): Moore stars as gutsy Lieutenant O'Neil, the first woman ever given the opportunity to earn a place in the armed forces' most highly skilled combat unit - the elite Navy Seals! But the already brutal rigors of training camp turn into an unimaginable test of courage and determination once it becomes clear that no one - powerful politicians, top military brass or her male Navy SEAL teammates - wants her to succeed!

Hannibal (2001): Having escaped the asylum in Silence Of The Lambs Dr Lecter goes into hiding in Florence. Back in America, Mason Verger, an old victim of the doctor's, seeks revenge. Disfigured and confined to a life-support system, he plans to draw Lecter out of his hiding place, using the one thing he truly cares for: Clarice Starling...

Someone To Watch Over Me (1987): A stunning New York socialite and a down-to-earth city cop are caught in a deadly web of illicit passion and heart-stopping suspense in this taut, stylish thriller.

£2 per film seems a more than fair price to me!

Thats a fantastic price! Ridley Scott is one of my favorite directors too.

I'd love to get it but I already have Gladiator, Black Hawk Down and Hannibal.

I also own too many of these films to make this worth while....namely Gladiator and Black Hawk Down 3 disc special editions. The Ridley Scott and Hans Zimmer combo is amazing imo all of these are great films
