This had been posted before a couple of months ago but I assume it has been expired because couldnt find it on a quick search, so just as a reminder/heads up for people who never saw it in the first place or forgot it was still on, You can get a yearly membership (usually £7), 2 drinks (usually about £5), and 2 hours of Pool/Snooker (Usually around £6 per hour) for a tenner. Pretty good deal, and the voucher lasts until 31st March 2010. And if you find a place with a free 'day membership' for non members, i assume you could do this twice if you take a friend with you... Doubly good deal! Enjoy.

just went on their website and the two clubs i used to visit both dont show up anymore, oh well

I think it's only a single annual membership rather than two of them but still a hot deal.
#5
None in Milton Keynes :? Good deal still
#6
bloody rileys are closing down everywhere! leeds closed for sure!
#7
Yeah its a 1 year membership opposed to what the thread title says.
#8
Rileys closed down here too.

Basically saved the other snooker club (which is now hurricane room) as all the members have moved to there.
#9
riley the brand who made the snooker tables went into receivership 3 yrs ago, i know this as my uncle owned it
some of the clubs continued trading still using the name but without the support of rileys for table recovers etc.. have now probably closed
#10
Really hot deal. Nearest Rileys to me is Sunderland though after my local in Newcastle closed down. Devastated. They are closing all over now. Recession has brought the death of the snooker hall.
#11
I remember when I was a student this same deal existed, but with a snapfax + a student card membership was free! So you got 2 hours of pool, 2 drinks and a membership for nothing.

Ahhh those were the days, good deal though heat added.
#12
nice was gonna get a membership this year
#13
Thanks for that. I for one thought it expired Dec 31st & that i had missed out. Heat & Rep :-D

So did I, Had been trying to perusade my mate to come out for a game of snooker just after xmas to make use of it, but to no avail, then just spotted this voucher which ends at the end of March...glad to help!

I can't Q - reply for some reason ( internet cafe at min ) but same here. My mate hurt his shoulder at work the day before we were going for a game so this is a great help

Out of interest what are the normal prices (with membership) for playing? I'm assuming these will be per hour. Interested... but if it's going to be something ridiculous like £8 an hour I may look elsewhere.

This is for Riley's (the closer of the two main clubs) and Hurricane Room (a little further but looks much nicer).

TIA

Just had a quick look on the site, and it says you can still take advantage of the £10 deal if you are a member- to quote ' and if you're not a member we'll even throw that in as well' so you can still get 2 hours and 2 pints for £10. So if youre planning on going before April, this deal will be hard to beat in any Pool/Snooker hall.

Thanks. I did notice that... but I was wondering what the prices were once you (or I) decided to go ahead and sign up for membership. I might just ring them up.

I must point out though, that while trying to order a table online (to determine prices), my "local" apparently has 0 American Pool tables, 0 English Pool tables, and 0 Snooker tables. This was the same for another 2 clubs too. Probably a bug, which should be sorted out as they're obviously missing out on potential customers.

seems a good deal, i hope the Long Eaton one is still open
#20
I popped in to the Rileys in Kent on xmas eve :santa:and they renewed four memberships for a tenner, plus two hours of snooker plus 2 drinks, bargain i thought,

I and 4 friends went about a month ago and the manager signed us all up for just £10 and we got 2 free pints. He made a good business move since we have been back several times already. Lincoln - Allenby estate

Now I'm gunna look at old posts that got hot and see if I can repost!!!
Can't believe duplcating posts get this hot:whistling:
Cold from me, I now I'm gunna be unpopular but its called free speech b4 ne 1 starts:p

Day membership is free if you just want a drink, otherwise it's £2.50 to play, or your mate just meets you in there after you have paid. Riley's is in administration, they have closed the less profitable venues and they are nothing to do with Riley who manufacture snooker tables.
You do not need a voucher to take advantage of this £10 offer, all clubs are offering it and it is still 3 for 2 hours to play, approx. £6/hour but £4 when you factor in 3 for 2.:-D

So you're voting it cold because you're jealous that it got hot having been posted before? Wow, that's adult.

P.S. How's that for "free speech"?
P.P.S. Just watched a nice game of footie with a couple of amatuer sides... ;);)

the old deal expired on the 31st december so this in effect is a new deal anyway..
alot of people may have not even seen it before also
#26
:-Ddamn shame leeds closed I use to go there boxed after a night in europa with it being 24/7
#27
Been meaning to use the voucher from last time! Heat
#28
I remember getting this deal about 8 months ago. It's pretty good.
#29
Yeah to vote cold because it's an old deal is pretty weird but hey, each to their own! And like stated the old deal did end at the end of 2009. If everyone voted cold purely as it's a deal that has happened before then all these ryanair sales, next January sales and various others would just be freezing. So in a way I agree :) but hey don't shoot the messenger purely because you didn't spot the deal 1st! Just wanted to give a heads up to all the fellow hukd'ers who are partial to a bit of pool and a cheap night out!

The last 6 or so visits I have not paid a penny for. basically I made a copy (or two) of their free 1 hour play and leave a few weeks in between visits - has worked the last year. Admittedly do not go as much as I used to when it was £1.80/hr.

Just seen the 2 hrs of pool for under 18's - we are lucky in that Hounslow Riley's is still around - think I'll treat the boys while the missus does her shopping in the Treaty Centre!

Riley's Hounslow closed over a year ago.
There is another pool centre in the same location though.
Would they accept Riley's vouchers?

I wouldn't have thought so but why not ring them & ask :)
