Limited Time only at 59p. One of the top paid apps available in the current iTunes chart.

Ringtone Designer Pro is a very easy to use App which allows you to easily create your own iPhone Ringtones, in effect saving you loads of money in downloading them off iTunes.
All you have to do is run the App and then drag a slider to the portion of the song you would like to add as a ringtone and then click on save (That part is all done using your iPhone).
Then just sync your iPhone with iTunes and sync the newly created ringtone with your iPhone. It really is that easy but you would be well advised to watch the You Tube Video which is provided in the App (For the Newbies).

Customer Reviews regard this as a solid purchase at the full price which has now been cut in half for a limited time!

There's a free piece of software called MP3directcut for PC which does this too.

I've tried the PC applications in the past but can't fault this Official iPhone App at all. It's so easy to use and all those guys and girls on iTunes can't be wrong.
It's great that the ringtone is also only a small section of the total MP3 too to save on space (No point having the entire song on there is you only want the 30s Chorus as your ringtone).
I think it's the ease of use that has made it so popular.

I use Ringtonesia.

Does the job and is free :)

You can do this for free in itunes with non drm protected files

I just tried it seems a bit more long winded than it should have to be. Pity you cant just edit the 30 second cut and put it straight into your ringtones folder without first having to upload it to itunes and then add it to your phone.

Especially when you can easily make ringtones using itunes anyhow, I was hopeing this app would negate the need for using it.

totally agree with above comment is a good app but having to sync everytime with itunes a bit of an effort surely an easier way?? Hot from me tho pretty good app

wouldn't this be the same as just getting a song in itunes making it 30sec long and then change the format of it and re-add the new 30sec song? why pay when its really simple and itunes does it all for you?

ITunes can't do this as far as I know in any case. The reason it doesn't is because iTunes will happily charge you to purchase the ringtone you require. It's with this in mind I was surprised this App received Apple approval bearing in mind how tight they appear to be about everything iPhone.

Not knocking the deal, But you can make any ringtone you like as long as you have the sound on CD/MP3/DVD with Audacity and LAME on your PC it's so easy. I cant believe people buy these things.

Itunes will let you make ringtones, there are loads of 'how to' guides , here is an old one from you tube.

It used to be easy to make a ringtone on iTunes, but I don't know how to do it on version 10. Tips would be appreciated :D

I have just bought this app and it's really easy to use.

iRinger is also free, runs on pc but auto puts the ringtone you create into iTunes as a ringtone for iPhone. It can also lift audio from movies or tv to cut into ringtones instead of just music.

easy way to use itunes is find a track
1.go to get info(details) pick the start of the park you want in options add 30secs in the stop part 2.make aac format find file change to m4r add to itunes
3.reset the start and stop of original track done and dusted.
am sure they will be easier ways but thats how i have done it.

audiko.net normally sorts me out

I was looking for a way to get new ringtones for my iphone 4 a few weeks ago and came across this 'how-to' which is easy, and most importantly free - http://www.iphonehacks.com/2010/08/how-to-make-free-ringtones-for-your-iphone.html

This app would be handy for making ringtones on the go, but you have to sync with itunes after creating them.

I use Audacity on my PC and it's totally free - why bother fiddling around with an app for your iPhone that you have to pay for?
#17
I used the same app but the free version (also available in app store) and it works great to make 20 sec long ringtones for £0.

So you can't simply select a sound from your phone files? Don't have an iPhone but surprised if you can't.

How do you sync tones with itunes? I cant see my existing ones so where the hell will the new ones go? What format are iphone ringtones in? And what section on itunes do i drag it to, music, video? Sorry for the dumb questions but why the hell couldnt apple just keep it simple like ALL other mobile phones with a simple option "set as ringtone".
#20
audiko.net/ by far the best option ;)

thanks for sharing.

That's pretty misleading, it's an iPhone app nothing official about it.

As an alternative I would recommend iRinger it's a desktop app it's free and it's fast with minimal faffing: http://www.iringer.net/

Ringtones are .m4a format, renaming m4r audio files to .m4a also works, you just drag them into your music area and iTunes will recognise them as ringtones.
