Just to let anyone thinking they're going to be snapping up a bargain buying this that it hasn't actually been reduced.

I bought my first car in november and was looking at halfords cd players etc in december and this was £89.99 then. I thought i would leave it until after christmas to see if it would go down at all in the january sales..

It was in the sale, reduced from £199.99 to £89.99 so it wasn't even a real reduction, now it seems they are at it again! I ended up getting something similar from littlewoods with a £30 off a £60 spend and it cost me just over £30 for it.

God it bugs me when places do this grrrrrr.
It still seems a good price, but I don't like them making out its been reduced when in fact its been this price for ages. I guess they are allowed to show the 'original' price with the selling price, but it makes it look like a deal.

Don't waste your time and money guys.

I bought this in silver, nearly 2yrs ago, for £69.99 in one of their sales.

Not only did it take the majority of a long journey to actually read an mp3 dvd, 3 months down the line the paint on the buttons had crumbled off.

When I exchanged it (+£30) for a sony stereo instead, there was also a clear increase in sound quality.

While it looks like a feature packed bargain, its just another cheap stereo.

The "random/shuffle" feature is also poorly implemented. Much like radio 1, it will choose a handful of tracks, from the 100+ available on the mp3 cd, and play them over and over and over and over......

UK law states that the price being noted as a pre-sale price must refer to the price the same product has been sold at in some or all of the retailer's outlets for a minimum of 28 days in the previous six months.

If Halfords have a branch in the Outer Hebrides, for instance, & the same product was offered for sale there at £199.99 for the duration stipulated, then they are doing nothing illegal.

SAME HERE

BOUGHT THE OLDER MODEL AND WHEN I USED TO TURN VOLUME UP IT WOULD GO DOWN AND VICE VERSA

HALFORDS SAID IT WAS THE COLD WEATHER AFFECTING IT:whistling:

MY ALPINE DOESNT HAVE SAME PROBLEM.

RIPSPEED IS HALFORS OWN **** COMPANY AND I WOULDNT RECOMMEND

HALFORDS ALSO TRIED TO EXCHANGE AND THE EXCHANGE ONE WAS "NEW" UNTIL I OPENED BOX AND THE CARRY CASE WAS WORSE THAN A 2ND HAND ONE AND SOMEONE MUST HAVE USED IT AS A SANDER OR SUMMAT!

CRAP DEAL AS IT WONT LAST U A DAY!

Does your keyboard have a faulty volume control, or do you shout a lot as a result of the problems with your car audio equipment? ;)
