Hot for me - just ordered 2 for £21 delivered, can't find 200 discs cheaper and don't mind overprints.

voted hot, but would be p***ed off if I got the CMC MAG dye ones personally... the MCC dye though is brilliant, always get good results from those. Would rather choose a smaller pack where I am sure of what dye I would be getting

These ritek dye ones would be better, but almost twice the price...

so might be worth the gamble with your ones, but depends on how important your data is IMHO

Strange things happen. I got the Turbo DVD-R discs from an offer two weeks ago for £3 for 50 and to my surprise it was TYG-02 dye. So miracles happen.

Had Datawrite overprints before and disc was very thick but worked ok. Turning down the speed to 8x sometimes helps if you get too many coasters.

Am i missing something its £8.99 for 100 discs and you can only order 200 not 300.
Please help
Thanks

Paddy.. agreed. I always use Ritek G05 dye no matter what. Never had any probs. They seem to go hand in hand with Pioneer burners. Wouldnt settle for anything less ;-)

Yeah, I know lowering the burn speeds etc can help etc etc... but to be honest CMC MAG dye is carp even then... depends on how long you want to retain data on these discs, I have had CMC MAG (the ones that burned ok that is) last for maybe 1-2 years, whereas some ritek g05 or taiyo yuden dyes last for approx 5-8 years. A disc I burnt for my nephew around 7 years ago has only just given up on him that I burned with ritek dye discs.. and it was a disc that he used very often during that time.
I'm not knocking these dics, just would be more happy with the MCC dye as opposed to the CMC MAG dye... but with some discs from SVP you don't know what you've got until you unwrap it and pop one in the dvd drive and check what the code is :( - if I ended up getting the CMC MAG discs they probably wouldn't get used as I couldn't rely on them to retain the data, so not a good deal if I spent £12 on something I'd never use.

Yeah I've been using them for approx 6-8 years too, and before that I used the ritek g04 dye discs too... and I've had LITEON, pioneer, samsung and NEC drives - never had many coasters at all. And with the dual layer discs I always look for the MCC dyes now as they seem to be the best for dual layer whilst still being reasonably cheap.
