I use easyfundraising for a lot of those sites that don't normally offer cashback such as Amazon, John Lewis & Lakeland. The only thing I found with buying with Amazon with this site is that you need to add items 'fresh' to your basket after going through easyfundraising (ie you can't just buy what is already in your basket) or it doesn't track.

Do you need to clear cookies as with cashback sites?

sorry, hadn't noticed the reply. I don't do anything special for the easy fundraising site such as clearing cookies. For topcashback I do make sure that the cookies track (TCB site tells me if my adware blockers are affecting it). easy fundraising site works well and CB occurs once payment is done (ie with Amazon when parcel dispatched which is when they take the money from you).
I use The Giving Machine. Large choice of charities and you can select more than one, and the percentage to each, for every purchase through them :)

You need to remember its a buisness like any other and you need the right staff in place to keep it running smooth and efficiently.
You could cut the salaries but then you will never tempt the people you need away from the private sector.
Some private sector CEO salary packages are into the millions.
Having the right people at the top is worth much more than the salary outgoings.
You know what they say, pay peanuts and you get monkeys.
You are dead right there. Amazon pay their lower end staff peanuts (drivers, warehouse and customer service) and they definitely get monkeys. Some of the CS staff you simply can't understand, and Amazon know that. In the end you give up and go away. It's a real shame, two or three years ago their staff were exceptional, now they are just "special", as my Mum used to say.
Yeah I noticed this a few months ago when I had an issue.
Seems now they copy and paste a generic reply hoping you go away.
Thats live chat anyway, not had the pleasure of telephone support.

yeah your right and its the exact reason i won't give a penny to them, a true charity should be doing the charitable thing and other than expenses doing the good work for free.. for the benefit others. Obviously in the real world these 100k + fat cats won't because they aren't genuine charitable people. its just a shame for the collectors at the bottom who do genuinely care about the cause who give up their own time collecting for free
If you were earning £150k a year, would you go work elsewhere full time for free?

No of course not for free, but if i had said skills and was head of a charity i wouldn't take a fat cat salary either i would work for a very modest salary enough to get by because i wouldn't be in it for the money i would be doing it to help others, which is what charitys should be about

Rather than donate 5% to charity , pay your workers on minimum wage and zero hours contracts the money .....
They do. You read too much left wing garbage.

And you just need to read more. He didn't say they weren't paying min wage, he said they should pay them more :)

How about Amazon donate some money to the taxman?

How about Amazon donate some money to 'Save the Rainforest' as well? Thier packaging is absolutely ridiculous.

That is a good website as well. Although, I think customers are more likely to visit cashback websites where applicable. Are you not able to bookmark the page when you land on Amazon? It will have the referral link in the URL.

Just a shame they don't also pay 20% to the taxman
Rest assured, you're paying VAT on Amazon purchases at 20%.
Amazon have also recently decided they're kind enough to pay some corporation tax...
It's "the some" I have the issue with... They reclaim the vat on their purchase cost..
If our government are stupid enough to leave loopholes that allow this then fairplay to them, no one volunteers to pay tax! besides any extra money they pay in tax comes out of the consumers pockets at the end of the day via product price increases, our government will only waste it on massive donations abroad or undeserved MP pay rises anyway
I prefer to have cheaper items from Amazon, rather than tax paying for an MP's second home
Although I agree, remember the same point flips around. MPs have not been deciding their own salary for quite some time now, it's down to an independent body.
Would you turn down a salary increase if offered? I sure wouldn't!

Independent my a*** :)
RNLI waste lots of money, very disrespectful to their dedicated fund raisers.

Good reminder OP, the RNLI is a critical service/charity for this Isle.
Life savers working in extreme/difficult conditions should always be supported imo.
Quite correct, but the general public should not be funding the RNLI or any Air Ambulance services at all via charity donations. They should be 100% funded by the lottery as a "good cause" rather than some of the ridiculous groups who get such funding from the lottery.
I couldn't agree more, I'm not going to get into the politics but it's amazing that as an Island we don't fully fund the lifeboat service.
im surprised hotukdeals allow this. this is how the site makes money. every time a deal is posted and you follow the link they make money. I think this post is technically against the rules because its a referral link :p

Worth having if you have children that you'll be taking to the beach during summer. I got a pack last year as well and it has indeed come in handy.

It is probably worth pointing out to those just apply for everything on the basis of "well its free, innit?" won't find anything useful in the pack and would just be wasting RNLI resources by ordering it.

Ordered it last time and it arrived today with a note apologising for the delay but they had underestimated the number of requests they would get
Got mine today ;)
from last time this was posted.
I requested this when it was first posted as I thought it would be good for when I'm on the beach with my son during the school holidays but I'm still waiting for it and the summer is nearly over. Maybe I'll get it and use it next summer :)
The RNLI are now providing Lifeguard services on about 200 UK Beaches, which might explain this. We saw them on The Gower recently.

Dear bloodnok, please don't be disheartened by some of the unkind comments on here. I think it's obvious to the majority of us that you posted this from a genuine wish to help the RNLI.

Agreed, good cause gets slated by a few.

Nice to see this get " bumped " to the top again.. (_;)

There's still an active post for this ... how many plugs do the RNLI need ...

The more the merrier, in my book.

No, and I'm guessing you don't know them either. So we've both made assumptions. Mine is just a kinder assumption.
