I have this pressure washer.. i wouldnt say its powerful..it wont even wash off some of the obvious grits on car.. but its sufficient for a very basic clean to get dust off

Sounds awfully expensive for a dust remover

I went for the individual speaker which is £15 on Amazon as it comes with the carry case, can't see the case in this package? Works out cheaper as with postage this is £24 if you can't use c&c. I can see the case being more useful as I don't need the ear buds and wouldnt think they would sound great judging by the cost. Especially since getting the akg ones for a tenner recently.

Seems like a decent price for a speaker and headphones set - anyone know what the sound quality is like?
Decent sound and bass for the price....

I ordered seeing the reviews but the similar NFC model (unsure if this has NFC) review is in description now
Second that - have the ear buds and they are brilliant.

You can get those big D-shaped ones from B&M etc for about £5, which also detect wooden beams. They take a bit of calibration, but if you use common sense and follow the lines, I'm sure it'll be just as accurate as this
This unit will not detect studs and joists. A detector that can accurately detect studs, joists, pipes, cables, nails and screws is very useful. A unit that doesn’t work very well or simply doesn’t detect everything can be very annoying.
Will this seek out wooden?

Trying to run a cable from loft to children room for tv aerial but think I may have wooden wall frames to seek out

FYI, my one just last for less than 20 seconds, YES 20 SECONDS! and it just stop working, I have to return it for a full refund! :(
Mine arrived today, turned switch on,made vauum noise non stop, pulled lance trigger no water came out.. can you remember whether when u turned the switch on it only madr the vacuum noise for a few seconds or was it like non stop? Many thanks
It's best to connect water, hold trigger until water flows and then switch on unit.
If the pump is running continuously without trigger pressed it is not getting any water.
I've managed to get it work. Does urs have self priming feature..like it draws water out of a bucket/water butt?? With standard normal hose, not suction hose.
Many thanks
I don't have this model sorry.
The kits are usually just a standard hose with quick release coupling on one end and strainer on other.
When using one of those you need to fill hose with water before connecting to machine.

Why is this cold? That's a pretty good price for Duracell ultra's.

So what?

If these were Lithium AAs then yeah, this would be a decent price. Duracell Ultras are just standard Alkalines though, nothing special in terms of capacity. As LesD says, these don't justify a 3-4x increase over the cost of similar batteries.

these are duracell brand.
You would be better spending money on a more trusted brand like Ikea alkalines or gp utlra or panasonic etc, and they are cheaper.
ps duracelles last ten times longer than zinc carbon batteries which no one uses anymore. dont give con artists your money
I m sure i read somewhere on the internet about the aa and aaa batteries from Home and Bargains (amongst a few other places) being particularly good value for money?
I ll try and have a dig around and see if I can find it again.
the panasonic ones?

No, not them
If my memory serves i think that are called powercell or powerplant or something like that.
I think they are their own in house brand.

Seller has literally no feedback and item seems far cheaper than other sellers.

True they do have no feedback, but I had no feedback on eBay at one time, doesn't mean I'm a crook. There are others selling for £12 and around £15, so they are not that much cheaper.

I agree with your thinking that it could be a dodgy seller and I would steer clear from this seller till they had better feedback if item was expensive. But in this case I would be prepared to be without a tenner for a few weeks till Paypal refunded me (if they ended up being a dodgy seller). If you want to be safer, there is one seller at £15 and had 5000 or so rating which works out pretty good value and pretty safe.

Flea

We moved into temporary accommodation while moving and our dryer was in storage so we used a pair of theses.

So asking your question - yes they do work. But you'll probably still need to iron shirts - which is the opposite to what it advertises. But what it doesn't tell you is they cost a fortune to run and as I said we had two.

A funny little by product is they do give off a lot of heat and when our heating was playing up we used these in
the bedroom and they heat the room up real well.

So, if you want clothes dried this does work and its pretty cool that is all goes into a small box. But it is expensive to run and probably won't cut down on your ironing.
Do these actually work?

These seem to work best if you don't apply much pressure when sanding - mine slows down and doesn't like having much pressure applied to it.... I suspect that might be what often kills these.

Could anyone shed some light on these please. As they are access points effectively, are things like VPN and access control handled by the existing router still?

thanks OP for all the advice given...will probably stick with my 3 wired PoE APs and just remember to switch between them as I wander around!
Good Call, in theory these are basically 3 AP's but just linked, I strongly recommend the Ubiquiti AP's for value for money, that side of things are easy just keep your existing router as the Edgerouter Lite is not point and click.

My understanding from previous hukd's is that the makita accessory kits aren't up to much either so wouldn't really factor that in...
Got to be cold. No point in spending 120 on a Makita that's not the real deal.

I am aware that i may sound like a complete novice (because i am) but is it possible to buy an 18V battery with a higher AH separately ?
Yes. Although you'd have to work out which battery fits which drill (easy). Look for a drill sold as 'bare' or 'body' only.
This means just the body of the drill without the battery and charger.
Hope this helps.

The question was re higher output batteries but you are referring to bare units?

Makita G-series, can be all black or have a white top and are only available in 1.3Ah ;

These are NOT compatible across other Makita tools i.e. LXT range which are distinguishable with the star (newer models the star is yellow) ;

False, the only battery's you can use are the white topped ones (in the pic) that only go up to 1.3ah. If using for trade get andynicol deal but if for diy id go for a bosch for £87 http://www.diy.com/departments/bosch-cordless-18v-2ah-li-ion-combi-drill-2-batteries-psb1800li-2/1131623_BQ.prd?ecamp=Seapla&ppc_type=shopping&ds_kids=92700018912028092&gclid=CNuFi6-gj9MCFWcq0wodasQOeQ&gclsrc=aw.ds.ds&dclid=CJLdr6-gj9MCFZUT0wodhqwG8w
Avoid the g series. I have makita lxt and it's great. There are also so many tools you can add to your set and quality is good.
