thx timber!
This does seem a good price, but they have had it at this price before, as a search for 'RD1'on the Moneysavingexperts forums will show.

Don't forget Quidco for 2% cashback at Co-op Electrical.

The same offer and Quidco terms are available at Electrical 123:

Out of stock boo hoo!

Good find tho'

Rep given!

I thought this deal sounded good - as I was looking for a radio to use in hotels and as this one can record to memory card - I figured I would be able to play the memory cards from the car radio in it too.

However - these reports look lousy and also show its been around for almost five years.

Its a pity as Roberts was always meant to be the superlative make of radios.

So 200 quid dropped to fifty seems good - but it does not really seem to be worth even fifty, and its not just the Co-op who are selling it for that price...

Sorry - looked good - ended up COLD.
Yeah, gets shocking reviews everywhere i'm afraid.
electrical123 Web Site has the same order interface as Co-op so must be the same fulfillment centre.

Both sites come up as in stock for me.

However you may want to look at the MP-30 which looks like the newer version and is not much more.

Like a lot of "manufacturers", a good chunk of what they sell these days is simply re-badged.
#9 might like to know that I just swatted my screen because of that "bug" you're using! lol
sadly the link now goes to 'page no longer available'
Got excited when I saw this yesterday but then when I looked at it and read the reviews changed my mind. Maybe if recording is important this is good value but otherwise there are much nicer pieces of kit out there.
Biggest issue on DAB radios seems to be battery life and this boy eats them up. I have a Pure Move which is £69.99 at Empiredirect and it can play for 2 days non-stop on the built-in rechargeable batteries.
If you need a recordable DAB radio, then the 1st generation BUG radio is probably your best bet. If you can live with the design, the sound is not too bad and will record to SD and play mp3s from those, too. Best bit is that you can easily update the firmware to the the latest via the USB port, which makes it functionally identical to the second generation BUG.
