Definitely not the loudest and reviews says its bass heavy but there is an aux out which means you could plug in other speakers to make it sound better.

I've had the this radio for over a year and can't fault it the solar side needs direct sunlight to work. take both type of batteries just have to flick a switch so not to charge normal ones.
Had to do a reset on it once but other than that it travels round with me.

Forget the solar panel. It's useless unless in direct sunlight.

it has a good charge port

Its a good deal for £45.... heated.

Excellent price and brand, but keep in mind this only supports the antiquated codec which predates even MP3. It will eventually be a useless radio after everyone has switched to DAB+ which most of Europe has already settled on.

According to Roberts it is DAB+ https://www.robertsradio.com/uk/products/radio/dab/solardab-2

The radio does support the DAB+ codec, unlike the BBC which doesn't.

It's solar...... It's not designed for the reasons of hosting a Rave.

That's probably a real watt, not a Chinese watt. And RMS means it's measured for continuous sine wave sound, not the maximum output it can reach for a microsecond, as many other amplifiers are rated. I have a old 20w NAIM amplifier which goes way, way louder than many "100w" systems.

What is this 'antiquated codec' you speak of???? FM will be around for a while yet!

Can't fault Roberts for built and sound quality, had the 83i for years and was after a cheaper portable so this will do nicely.
