Normal and shredless are 2 for £1.65 in Waitrose and also 2 for £2 in Tesco, so not much of a deal on those.

Golden Shred has, sadly, about 20g of fruit per 100g, though it does have a picture of Paddington Bear, the royalties for which probably explain the high cost and poor value. Most own brand marmalades contain twice as much fruit and cost half as much. My youngest daughter is a serious marmalade enthusiast so I know too much about this.

When it comes to jams and marmalades, you definitely get what you pay for. A decent jar needs to cost around the £1.80 to £3 mark.
