Looks like price has gone up, or have I missed something?

As Homer would say, Doh.

Indeed. But then to be fair, I don't buy that many films as it is so it's even less likely i'd suddenly go out and start buying 3D Blu-Rays.

i recently bought a panasonic dmp-bd77 because it had netflix on it, but then i went and bought a 3D television so this would be a better option. i'm tempted but i wouldn't really want to buy another bluray player a month after getting a new one.

Just got this and can't wait to set it up. I have a LG 3D tv to go with it. My question is, how would I connect my sky box to this system? I presume the HDMI cable connects from the blu ray player to the back of the tv and my tv is connected to the sky box also through a HDMI cable so as the sky box cannot connect directly to the blu ray player. So will this be enough to hear the surround sound from the sky box or do I need to do something else? This sounds very confusing ha

I have a slightly older version of this and has been excellent. I'd imagine this one has cinavia protection for blu rays though so will keep what I have now :)

Any one confirm whether the speakers are hard wired? Have existing wire under teh floor so want a system that has speaker connections

i can confirm the speakers have connectors and are not hardwired.

i have had this system for awhile now and think its a great system i was suprised just how loud this thing is, for this price it is a absolute bargain.

I've heard the magic remote is abit like using the Wii remote so easier for navigation purposes. I will wait about 6 wks that way I will be able to afford the 670T, it really is a beauty. Wish I could get one at this price! The link isnt working ( well not for me anyway ) the best deal I have found is with RICHER SOUNDS = £750 all in price inc delivery 5 yrs warranty. I then signed up to their vip membership via their website & got sent a further £10 off voucher via email ( has to be purchased within store ) has anyone found a better deal? Richer Sounds will only price match taking into account the 5 yr warranty & delivery according to their small print : )
Anyone ?
Can anyone advise me on the magic remote mine doesn't have one is it worth getting

I'm getting the 620t can't justify the extra 200 quid for the 670t
whats this TV like from a gaming point of view? anyone played any Xbox 360 on one before?
And the 670t is 'bezeless' so looks a lot nicer :)

Excellent price. Heat added.
I'll tell you why, it's a naff TV, had one last week, sent it back, backlight bleeding, banding, awful motion control, now I might have had a duff unit, but just look at AV Forums soooo many complaints with the model which includes 660 & 669 :|
I have no idea why this is being voted cold.......its a great price, perhaps someone would care to comment after they have voted.

This is not the same TV, the 670t is superior with a higher refresh rate and a much much thinner bezel. If you're going to vote cold at least compare like with like. Don't get me wrong the 620t is a nice TV but the 670t is nicer. Have some heat great price was looking at this exact model at john lewis on the weekend for £899.

Don't know why this has been voted cold, as its the cheapest at the mo. Granted this is more suited for people that live close to the store. I need one of these and I for one don't live anywhere near the store. As they have stores, John Lewis should be happy to match the price under their Never knowingly undersold policy. I've filled out a form and await their response as to whether they'll price match - hopefully they do as don't fancy RobertWhyte's rather inflated, £12.99 delivery charge.

Thanks OP for bringing this to light. £55.00 cheaper than elsewhere.

Its cold because its a terrible price for what it is.

This site is about HOT deals, not the cheapest available.

Nice one for the insight into what you class as a HOT deal thats smashing. So the deals you've posted up previously, they were not because they were cheapest available at the time they were simply what you class as a hot deal, regardless of the price?!? Sorry but that is a load of nonsense. Hot deals are cheapest available - if you can find the exact same item cheaper, feel free to post it up.

I think you are missing the point here. It may be a terrible price to you for a keyboard, but this is for Samsung SMART TV's, not just a generic keyboard for PC use. Yes there are some generic PC keyboards and mouses compatible but they are not designed for a SMART TV so don't control other features, other than quite simply a keyboard and mouse. Also keyboards with built-in trackpads have a bit of premium over bog standard keyboards and mouses.

Cry more?

You clearly need to clue up on the objective of this site.

I find it hilarious that you continue to argue such a case given that this deal is now -86 as well. Afterall, I alone could not contribute so many cold votes, so many others agree with me. Majority > minority.

Crying? Ha!

I clearly know the objective of the site thank you very much. You are just not justifying your point well enough and clearly don't know the difference between a good deal and desirability. I'm not arguing at all. Yes it is -90 odd cold but i bet those votes are from people who a) think this is just a ordinary keyboard and/or b) think there average bluetooth keyboard/mouse combo works just fine.

The RRP of £99 is ridiculous - I must admit! But for someone (like me) who would like the official Samsung Smart TV keyboard and can get it for £44.99, its a hot deal for me (especially that JLP are happy to price match it with free delivery). The thing is because its not a desirable item (probably only is to one who owns a Smart TV AND wants the official keyboard) its voted cold. That doesn't mean that your smug comment of 'everybody is with you' because its cold is true and thats what defines a good deal. If it does to you then brilliant, good stuff! Why don't you find this particular model cheaper and prove that this price for this item is not a good deal? Oh wait you can't!

I always buy Samsung LCD, currently have 5 in use and just ordered a 55" and never any problems. Just what are you doing to yours??

I'm really trying to not sound sarcastic here, but watching TV was the main use for them, occasionally hooked to a PC - I'm very careful with my things.

One particular 32" set had a new panel, new main board & tcon board, PSU and housing (at different times) the only original parts were the remote and power lead - I'm not joking.
I've got a dead 26" that needs a main board (constantly restarts itself in a loop) and another 32" that needs a backlight board.

That said, Samsung's after care is pretty good, they replaced the main board when it failed again 2 weeks out of warranty, but I'd rather not have the hassle of it going in the first place I'm afraid.
I was playing with this set in Comet on Monday when it was £549.99 and it was pretty awful, even after taking some settings from AV Forums with me. Ghosting was awful, blacks were grey and the pic was poor. I got the assistant to link it up to the same Panasonic Blu-Ray player we have at home and took Avatar on DVD and 3D Blu-Ray and my old 720p Panasonic plasma from 2007 managed better. I was really disappointed. The glasses are only £29.99 per pair in Comet though.

I am trying hard to hold back for this year's LG passive 47" tv range to come out. I was really impressed with the current model, and with 4 kids (plus a regular influx of their friends) the £700 price tag is quickly recouped when £1 glasses are in use. My wife wont let me buy a Panasonic 3D plasma due to the cost of the glasses. Or at least that was the case until she caught site of the tx-p50vt30 and now she wants that one!
andymagic
I'd be more worried by the fact it's a Samsung than the fact it's 720p.

My house was like a Samsung only mortuary for a while and was on first name terms with the Samsung engineer, so I'll not be buying one, but head added as it's cheap for what it is.

I think people are getting confused about INPUTS and OUTPUTS.

ie what signals can be INPUT to the set via its HDMI/component connections and understood/decoded/converted by the set's electronics to then OUTPUT on its display panel.

A HD 720 signal is 1280 x 720 pixels = 921,600
A HD 1080 signal is 1920 x 1080 pixels = 2,073,600

The display panel is "1024 x 768 Resolution" = 786,432
so in fact the panel can't display a basic 720 HD signal at NATIVE resolution ie 1:1 mapping.

The issue is how good a job the set does at coverting/mapping the 720/1080 signals to the panel in the set - that the signals have to be down-sized doesn't mean they are badly down-graded. That said most people nowadays will aim for a full 1080 display as, for example, having about THREE times as much detail (pixels) as this TV's panel will be preferable to most viewers as for instance Freeview HD (with its 1080i signal) becomes available everywhere in the UK over the next few months - even London!

Just so you all know, all of the advertisments for this TV are wrong - the TV is full 1080P, it is only 720P in 3D mode. I bought one at Christmas, and I promise you this is the case!

In the corner of the screen the information box displays 1920x1080 when the PS3 is plugged in Via HDMI in standard mode. When you flick to 3D mode then it switches to the 720 resolution!

It's a banging TV, and if you only have a PS3 as your 3D BluRay player it can only output them in 3D at 720 anyway! HOT HOT HOT

So when you switch to Freeview hd its 720P as well!

I can't comment on the Freeview (don't watch TV, no inside aerial) but I am to believe it is NOT a HD Freeview box -I believe that is one of the things that makes the TV cheaper despite it's features.
and if it were, it WOULD display in 1080P as that is the TV's best resolution - it says nothing about it being a 3DHD Freeview box which obviously then would display in 3d at 720P (max the TV can output in 3D)

I guarantee it. Sorry posted up there as a new account because I couldn't be bothered to reset my password. Anyway I bought one thinking "Sod it" after looking at the fact that most of my games were in 720P and reading that the PS3 can only output BluRay 3D at 720P and bought one..I was completely suprised when I got it home plugged in the PS3 and it said "You can output in the following: and listed all the way up to 1080P. I am aware that no one on here believes anyone, so here is the best proof I can possily offer any of you:

Bottom image shows what just happened when I pressed info on the remote. Let it be known that it DOES display at 60Hz also but my girlfriend happens to be playing through Final Fantasy IX on the PS3 at the moment which only displays at 50Hz.

Don't believe me if you want, but for the price the TV is incredible - it's funny how it is advertised everywhere as 720P but as I have said it is ONLY the 3D. I paid £419 for mine last year and couldn't be happier with it!

That's not the glasses in the photo. The picture is a set of 3700's, the 3050's look a bit like this but more of an NHS version of these. But still pretty similar and much better looking than the glasses from Sony and Panasonic. Nice to see one manufacturer takes the genre seriously and is makin the glasses accessible to everyone rather than £75+ per pair.
So you are trying to say these look better than the new Panasonic glasses?! Are you drunk or just blind?Better value these are yes - but look better? Definitely not.

Yes I am saying they are better looking, even these budget versions. Sony and Panasonic glasses look like you are wearing scuba goggles!! That bulky type of design combined with their expense only adds to the hinderence in uptake of 3D tvs as so many people seem reluctant to wear the glasses and think glasses free 3D is going to be some kind of magic solution that is only just around the corner. It may be on its way, but it will be appalling for many years to come.

Post me a link to a good looking slim lined pair of active glasses at a good price though and I will gladly eat my words.

At no point did I say the Panasonic glasses were a better price - in fact I stated the price on these samsung glasses was good. BUT my Panasonic glasses look like sunglasses. They are these ones http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005HNNIO0/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d0_g23_i1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1BG67C9KZTHQ5Z80SGMJ&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467128533&pf_rd_i=468294

As for the thickness around the eye, that's to block out light to make the viewing more immersive and easier on the eyes.

Them Samsung glasses look horrific. Sorry I get that people have different tastes . . . but really

I agree. I have also ordered these cheap sammy spec for my D550 and yes you do look horrendous IMHO, but I bought them to watch 3D films in a darkened room fortunately, not as fashion accessories. The SSG3100s I also have are 'better looking', but its all relative here. They are bought for function - not looks.

Those other glasses just look bulky and lik scuba goggles still. They don't look glass wearer friendly either, although I appreciate they'll be fine for most people. The Sony glasses I tried were heavy an uncomfortable after just ten minutes, and that was due to all the bulk that is supposed to block out the light whilst watching in a darkened room (!). As the other poster said, these are practical items, not a fashion accessory they need to be comfortable, functional and low in price. These Samsung glasses tick all the boxes.

Can't seem to expire this? Price as stated is now £29.99

So this is the 55" version of the UE40D8000, but the Panasonic is meant to be better? I'm looking at the UE40D8000 for Sky HD, movies, sports, SD channels and PS3 gaming. Thinking Plasma is meant to be better for sports and SD, though - is that right?

For the untrained eye, it doesn't really matter... If you feel it suits you then it should be OK.

Probably best to wait til glasses-free 3D comes out
Shouldn't be too far away

eh? you just kept pimping the sony which is 3D ready, it needs a transmitter bar AND glasses!!!

plus until they can get around the angle problems of the lenticular 3D and motion sickness from simulated depth like on the 3DS, its not gonna be a viable option
Just phoned up and out of stock so that's a waste of time, why have a deal on for today only with non in stock!?!

Ah, didn't see the rest of the freebies.

yeah thats the one, im deciding between this and the 6510/30 but they are about £100 more and no free glasses

The 6510 is about £730 at Amazon, without the extras. I've been tracking that and the 6530 for a while too and the prices are dropping fast.

its the 2 free glasses and warranty that peaked my attention . but if you looked at their site they do offer the 37D6510/30 and 40D6510/30 for £709.99 and £769.99 respectively but with delivery at £29.99 its maybe not that great a deal. the 3% off helps cover delivery almost.

Yeah the extras make it tempting but there the entry level glasses worth about £40. I was planning on getting the thin and light mid range glasses worth £60. Far more comfortable and you can charge them wirelessly :)

yeah i wasnt clear on which ones you get free, I assumed it was the cheapest ones they sell, the SSG3100, is that right?

Yeah there the bulky battery ones.

maybe peeps think you get more spec for your green with the Sammy innit

By that conclusion there will always a better spec than someone has posted whether it be a TV, champagne, fish food etc, surely you vote on the price and product that has been posted not what you believe is its comparison. If someone thinks the Samsung is better then vote on a Samsung deal that has been posted, why vote on an LG deal that they obviously aren't interested in or don't like. innit bruv

Or as in the case of deedie, they posted they had a bad experience with Robert Whyte, then that would be worth a cold vote imho but should be taken in context, I had a bad experience with carphonewarehouse last week, I would gladly tell people of that experience who will listen, but for my one bad experience I am sure there are dozens that have had no problems with them but still wouldn't expect to see as many glowing reviews for carphone as bad ones on the internet, thats just the way people do things.

i didnt have a bad experience, im lucky that i managed to avoid one. i read the reviews about them before i nearly ordered a tv a few weeks ago. the reviews are shocking, there is a massive thread over at avforums about them. im aware that all companies have customers who have bad experiences, but this mob are consistently bad.

like i said do a google search and you will see what i mean.

on a positive note, i used john lewis to price match a robert whyte deal, and got a great bargain. so if you want this tv, then get john lewis to price match it. they will do it without any problems, but they will include the delivery charge in the price. thats if john lewis stock it, and offer the cash back deal

and u get the 5 year guaranteed with the big JL bruv innint

shame only single tuner otherwise i would have purchased, hot price though...

thats abit short sighted imo .. do you expect to watch 2 hd channel sat the same time ??? if your tv has freeview just press the av button and watch another channel

Not really, I have had twin tuner PVR's since about 2005 (Thomson DHD4000, BT Vision , SKY HD+) - comes in really usefull to record multiple things on at the same time and is a pretty standard feature nowadays...
CANT SEEM TO ORDER IT ... REGHISTERED AS WELL
quick question .... is the compnay legit ? never used them

I'm tempted by this, but does anyone know if it's possible to export/copy the recordings from the built-in HDD to another storage device - e.g. a portable hard drive or a laptop?

Pants TV.... TRUST ME my brother bought it after seeing my 3D TV and it was AWFUL compared to mine, not to mention mine has Internet TV, All Share / DLNA, 1080p etc etc

For ref I have the Samsung 50C7000 (the 50C6900 is just as good with a slightly different remote)
Before anybody else says it!

Good spec, but apparently not full HD which it has been suggested is almost essential for this size of screen.

Worth listing though, thank you.
Not a bad price but don't forget the £39.99 delivery charge.

It's possible to get this TV from Richer Sounds (Instore only) for 95 pence more or take off a further £10 if you sign up to become a VIP member to bring the price to £589.95.

I got the same email. Emailed them back to say I wasn't very impressed that the money had already been taken from my account. They said this was normal practice! They said the glasses were due back in beginning of March so fingers crossed.
Just recieved this e-mail a week after placing my order and a week after the money left my account.

Dear Customer

We are currently out of stock of Samsung SSG2100 3D Glasses and anticipate more stock arriving in the next 2-3 weeks.
We will inform you as soon as we receive new stock.

Yours sincerely

Robert Whyte Ltd

Very poor!
Thanks OP, saved me some cash.

If the synching issues are bad after i try out my 3D on the 63" then i will start the ball rolling for a replacement set (PS64D7000). :)

I've never had a problem. I think some people who are in bright sunlit rooms have had issues. It's easily fixed anyway, with a bit of tape covering 90% of the sensor.
"Samsung have said they wont be providing a way for the new glasses to work with the old TV sets"

They said they'd provide a dongle for bluetooth, but expect it to set you back somewhat.
Bluetooth won't make any difference to the image quality etc so I'll stick with these!
