Remember it is Tesco selling them ... at least a horse doesn't have feathers!

I didn't know you had to kill a bird to get it's feathers, now I'm thinking of all them poor sheep that have to die to make all those Christmas jumpers. You've ruined my Christmas :(;)

Of course they are killed to obtain their feathers, or perhaps they are just plucked while they are still alive like these poor geese?

Sheep also suffer immense cruelty to obtain their wool

We inherited one like this from my husbands Grannie it had been on her tree for years, looks festive enough but believe me it nearly gave me a heart attack when I put my hand on it amongst the baubles the first year after we had it whilst decorating the tree! It frightened the bejesus out of me I had not idea what I had put my hand on but I knew it wasn't a bauble oO.

We also have a real one that visits our garden - isn't at all bothered by our two cats :)

Nice find. Hot. Will check my local Tesco out when I get a chance. Not sure there's much more room left on the tree though!
