if vr is ever going to take off it either needs actually decent games worth the £40+ asking price or they need to stop this bs of charging 3/5 hour games at this price.

yep your right. I plan to wait till some of the short games drop in price...and then buy them on the US or Canadian stores :)

personally I've been loving the short games, great for jumping into and having a quick blast or an extended play.
it's no less in depth than a full price fifa but requires far more talent from the people making it, afterall they're creating a fully immersive experience! something I'm happy to pay for. of course some people just love to h moan

Pretty sure people would downvote Fifa at £42/ £42.70 as well. Dismissing legitimate criticism of the game's short playtime as "people just love to moan" is not a good counterargument and only serves to make you look like someone who can't stand people having different view points to them.

3-4 hour games are more of tech-demos than actual full games. FIFA is kind of a crap comparison because that's not worth £40+ either.

this will drop to 20 in month, because ratings are bad + short game.

Being a VR game, it will plummet after a few weeks.

oh my another gamer who I assume doesn't remember the good old days when you'd pay £60 for a 5 hour game as standard

They are charging a fortune for VR games in the lead up to Christmas as many people are buying the VR hardware and are desperate for VR games. I'm sure they'll all drop in January.

I remember paying close to that for Mario kart 64...and getting no doubt beyond 60 hours worth of gameplay. If you can get close to 40hours of gameplay out of this then go for it.

Cartridges were a lot more expensive to reproduce. And you can only value something according to its existing market. Just because games used to be more expensive way back when doesn't add value to something that offers less content/quality value to its existing market ie games in the here and now.

End of the day, if they're gonna sell PS vr games at this price they really need to be hardware selling software. Mario kart was. This isn't.
