Voiced By: George Lucas, Mark Hamill & Candace Bailey

You too can join the dark side with Robot Chicken: Star Wars!

[adult swim] have turned the Star Wars universe on its head and given the legendary struggle between intergalactic good vs. evil a unique make-over in this extended episode which is jam-packed with unforgettable moments parodying all 6 films.

Robot Chicken: Star Wars boasts an all-star voice cast including Star Wars creator himself, George Lucas plus Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Family Guy's Seth MacFarlane, Breckin Meyer, Donald Faison, Hulk Hogan and James Van Der Beek.

The story begins not long ago, in a galaxy not far enough away where we see Emperor Palpatine receive a reverse charge call from the Dark Lord announcing the destruction of the Death Star, watch the droids have trouble getting through airport security and see Admiral Akbar selling out in an advert for his own breakfast cereal. If that wasn't enough to wet your appetite, George Lucas gets saved from a mob of nerds at a Star Wars convention, Luke and the Emperor settle things with a 'yo mama' fight and there's even a new unforgettable addition to the Star Wars franchise with 'Empire on Ice'...and that's just a snippet of the 35 sketches featured!

I hate to be boring but you can watch 'Robot Chicken: Star Wars' on youtube for free if you're not that bothered owning the dvd.

But I've not voted hot or cold
#2

It's even better when you watch it on a 50" Plasma, wish I had one though.

Voted HOT.

Voted hot. Go Hamster go Hamster go.

Got the standard edition of this DVD, it's good, but, definitely not worth buying just to watch it on a big TV, the actual Star Wars sketches are only about 20 minutes long and it's dolls being funny, it's not exactly an hollywood blockbuster, so I think calling someone an idiot for suggesting watching it on the internet is a bit harsh, personally I think it's a good idea, especially if you're buying it for the Star Wars content, there isn't much of it.

easy now.

Totally joking btw. I don't think your post was anything to do with your manhood.

I agree though watching it on youtube is free, but its pain to show off to your friends, even on an iphone. Revived the old weebl and bob sketches. Great fun.

Sorry my comment was aimed @ Jairoc and his name calling accusation.. I think most people can see I clearly said I’m not an idiot, and in no way did I call anyone an idiot, i mean if you want to watch everything on a 2" screen then that does not make you and idiot does it. I shall just file this in the top 100 reasons to vote something cold/ not vote at all.

PS I’m not French or anything

By the way I voted this deal HOT, it's a great deal, just probably best you take a look on the internet before buying it, sorry don't want to take anything away from the original post.

take a look on the internet before buying it?

im looking at the net now, what next?
#11
Oh and by the way, I paid £4.99 for the standard edition about a month ago so this is a good deal.
#12

I bought this last year and TBH I was disappointed that is was all ont'web and I realised that I'd seen all the funny bits before.

Only the Darth Vader phone call is really funny IMO, so if you've seen that on YouTube you're probably best saving your £4.

Sorry.

your wallets cant repel shows of this magnitude!
#16
Voted hot - just ordered.
Was tempted to just watch it on youtube but since my bro got COD5 my internet is slower than a dead donkey.....

Err, send them a link?;-)

This is a good deal. It should be noted that most of the sketches are from the series - it's just the STAR WARS ones compiled - and as mentioned before it is only just over 20 mins. But if you like SW at all, then it's 20 minutes of pure hilarity, and well worth picking up. There are various extras too.

Not worth the original rrp, but at this bargain price it's a HOT deal alright.

It's actualy better than the following "cold" reasons that I've seen (and I've had all these remarks posted on DVD's I've posted before): -
1) You can watch it on TV
2) DVD's are old technology
3) You can download it for free on ******.com
4) How much for a DVD?
5) I think I saw it somewhere recently for a bit less but that might have been a different one
6) I bought this somewhere three months ago for less (and no link to the time machine, so we can go and buy it for less)
7) It must be rubbish 'cos it's such a low price
8) Why not Sky+ it?
9) The single disc version is 50p cheaper here.......
10) And my favourite.........Zavvi and Woolworths (when there are/were only half a dozen stores left open in the UK with no stock in any of them)

That's most annoying:x Have you contacted Play?
#26
I got the regular one too. It'll be a bit of a fuss to send it back just to get one with a cardboard sleeve but i'm a stickler for such things. That is assuming they take it back, I filled in a return form, will have to see what they say.
#27
They sent me another copy, but it was just the regular edition again. I think I'll return the first and keep the second as I can't be too fussed mucking about with it.
