Amazon reviews suggest the led's on this keyboard have longevity issues. Probably the reason for the heavy discount.

I have had one key die in a year, but people have had alot worse, sometimes you can just reset the firmware or software though I don't fault people for not trying. It's a great keyboard id you don't care about that, I mean honestly, I touch type, you shoulsnt play games on the dark and do you really need a cascade or stary night effect when not in use? The LED fad has gone right over my head.

Paid £51 last year, had a key fail. RMA to Amazon. New one is OK so far but disconcerting if buying from somewhere with costly returns.

It's very big so have plenty of space.

I'd give it 6.5/10.

Used one for work which is heavy typing 8-10 hrs a day, within a month had backlight of 7 keys failing, replacement lasted two weeks before a Led went. Now on my 4th replacement after ten months.
Hope to be luckier but they do have led issues :-(

Pretty much ALL backlit mechanical LED keyboards have issues be they from Razer, Corsair, Coolermaster or Ducky (my Ducky had 2 failed LEDS in it's first 9 months)

The simple fact is that LEDs don't like being rattled/shaken and keyboards do that to them - the newer the design, the better they are but pretty much all backlit mechanicals have some degree of issue with this

I'd not have another - at the end of the day, you shouldn't be looking at the keyboard anyway so who cares if it's lit? :)

I can only talk from experience of having a coolermaster CMstorm Trigger X mechanical keyboard for about 18 months.

Cherry MX Brown and just "plain" white LED backlit, daily hardish use (including regular 10 hour gaming sesh's) and not had a single problem with it. The accompanying macro software is really uselful if you spend 20 mins understanding it. I'd have no problem recommending it to anyone.

Oops should've checked before posting.. no longer available at amazon... my bad.
