Currently to buy a song on xbox one, and I assume ps4, it is £1.59 per song. However, if you load up rock band 3 on a previous generation console, either xbox 360 or ps3, you can go to a "sale" option…

You will be able to transfer the songs from these disc, but not at this moment they are currently working on it (well at least 1 and 2). However, no news on rb3 being transferable....

This was already posted a couple of days ago, although I can't find it now for some reason.
no interest in rock band 4 unless I can use my midi drum kit, which looks impossible on the Xbox one. game is very likely to flop anyway due to the dropped features.

Same here, was 360 now PS4. Not a problem, I'll just not buy RB4 and if I ever feel the need to whip out a plastic guitar I'll just play RB3 on the 360. From what I've read there are a load of tracks on that and previous RBs which won't carry over to RB4 anyway - and I'm not exactly blown away by the RB4 tracklist so can live without it.

I'm in the same boat... Then I bought an xbox one after the very pre order hype.

They are indeed. But people are too quick to expire threads. Enjoy! Grabbed some more earlier on myself

Why is it wasting money if it's something you find enjoyable? I've spent hundreds of pounds on Rock Band songs and I feel I've got my moneys worth and then some.
good for you. what do you want a medal? i'm sure these companies are loving you rubbing their hands with excitement.
You're a bit of a tool, aren't you!
People buy these games because they're fun. I had Rock Band 1,2,3 and the GH games and played them constantly. They were a great game for parties and fantastic value for money.
Just because you've been stung or don't like something, doesn't mean your opinion is a valid one.

i'm not speaking from experience. thats what i've heard from anyone i know whether people i know in real life and even the internet. also your very rude.

Currently watching the Harmonix live stream and they just said that there is NO ENDING to the sale! :D
Just bought 36 songs for 3000 Wii Points (£21). Got 2 albums and 4 track packs:
Ozzy Osbourne 01
Pantera - The Great Southern Trendkill (Album)
Nirvana 02
Lenny Kravitz 01
Rush - Moving Pictures (Album)
Boston 01

Hehe, that must have taken you a long time to download XD
The download service is awfully slow on Wii XD
Yeah, it took me about 40 minutes to download everything.
Nah, i'm moaning about the issues over on PSN not LIVE. Two separate issues in that your tracks are rolling out gradually with worldwide 50% discount as discussed over at rockband forums.

Our store updates once a week, every other week something is missing either through error, regional certification issues at Sony's end or regional differences - they update once a week, if it isn't bang on you wait an additional week in the hope that they fix it next week which they often don't. There's limited-no communication often punctuated with misinformation, no interaction between customer service at Sony and the store team, no Major Nelson and community blog managers so poorly informed that they continually take and accept dog's abuse every week.

My issue is that on PSN specific regions of the EU including the UK aren't getting the 50% discounts, im not a child so yes waiting a few days doesn't bother me, in context of my life games mean absolutely nothing to me, but the general issues with that store exist to the point where even Eurogamer and 6thaxis actually now run stories post store update slating the PSN store.

I'm a somewhat weary fan of the series, own every console Harmonix and Activision band game since GH1, every spin off, 3 full band kits including beatles, the keyboard, official mic stand, official guitar stand and several of the guitar bundles even a few double dips across PS3 and 360 - that said, a spade is a spade. I'm not grateful to any company for selling me a product as I don't see them selling at loss and any love for the series doesn't extend to being dually shafted by our regional stores in conjunction with Harmonix.

You're right in that my complaints are out of place on a deals site thread so yes i'll keep stum. No offence intended towards anyone btw. :3
An awful lot of moaners on here... Some of these songs have been available to download for years, and you're moaning because you have to wait a couple of days for the reduction to kick in? I'm a huge fan of the series and am grateful for this sale, there are songs I've been meaning to get for ages but haven't had the funds to do so. I always end up taking ages to buy DLC as I'm always waiting for cheap MS points deals :p

Bought a stack of DLC just then, went for

Anvil 01
Black Keys 01
Black Sabbath 01

Midnight Rider - Tha Allman Bros Band
Billion Dollar Babies, Poison, I'm Eighteen - Alice Cooper
Gasoline - Audioslave
Roam - The B52's
Chest Fever - The Band
Hard to Handle - The Black Crowes
Rebe Yell, Mony Mony - Billy Idol
Godzilla, Transmaniacon MC - Blue Oyster Cult
More than a feeling - Boston
Linger - The Cranberries
Smash it Up - The Damned
I'm Shipping up to Boston - Dropkick Murphys
We Care a Lot - Faith No More
Don't Stop, World Turning - Fleetwood Mac
All Right Now - Free
Cream and B's Rise - Harvey Danger
Piece of my Heart - Janis Joplin
White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane
My Sharona - The Knack
Laid to Rest - Lamb of God
Aesthetics of Hate - Machine Head
Dope Show, Disposable Teens - Marilyn Manson
New - No Doubt
The Kids aren't Alright - The Offspring
Brass in Pocket - The Pretenders
My Iron Lung - Radiohead
Bulls on Parade - RATM
Love Spreads - The Stones Roses

Deliberately skipped over the albums for now, from what alot of people have been saying these have all but been confirmed as permanent reductions so I'll no doubt go back at some point for more DLC - the sooner Harmonix and Sony die the better, that blogs a shocker and its been like that for the past month and a half. At first I thought people were being harsh, but no actually there not, that store team haven't got a scooby. :(
