Hey, this promo is covered by a few retailers :)
Worth a look around though and I don't think Amazon always get in on the free game promotions (From memory) So that's good to see for sure.

Hmm, I bought a (used) Palit 1060 from Amazon warehouse back in early June.
I take it there would have been a redemption code included with the card (or delivered soon after by email) if it were an eligible purchase?

If you have a qualifying gpu (1050/1050ti/1060), but don't have a code - you can pick one up for 99p on ebay.
I just did, and redeemed fine.

Not quite free, but damn close.

If you've got a link for that I would like it. Cheapest I can see on eBay is £9 atm. And the last few times I've checked it's been that price. Waiting for it to get lower to justify buying it.

If its just a steam code does it matter on the gpu?

Assuming you got just a steam code and not an nvidia activation thing.

According to the description it does matter

<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>

1. Install your qualified graphics card and update or install the latest version of GeForce Experience here.

2. Open and log in to GeForce Experience (Version 3.2.2 or higher)

3. Go to the Account drop-down menu and click “REDEEM”

4. Paste your coupon code from your qualifying bundle purchase and click on “REDEEM”.

5. Select game of choice and click “CONTINUE”

6. Log in with your game provider account(s)

7. Select user account and click “REDEEM”

8. Congratulations! Launch game provider to download your game!

It's a geforce code; exactly the same as you'd get if you had a purchase that qualified for the OPs deal.
Redemption process is the same; install geforce experience client; create account; redeem geforce code; link account to steam; receive game.
And yes, you need a qualifying gpu.

I got this with my Graphics card - 1050 a few weeks ago. :-)

That's good! I did read Amazons terms and they excluded marketplace sales well in haha.

Ok thanks no worries. I know some cards give full game codes instead. I got Total War Warhammer Steam key with my amd card...so sadly dont qualify here :(

The game has been free with these GPU's for about 6 weeks now, but the price of the GPU's has increased since then.. This model was £221.99 5 weeks ago now it's £258 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01K7I7M00/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE
The EVGA SC 6GB was also £215 around the same time, now it's around the £250 mark.

I picked up an EVGA 1060 SC 6GB that was barely two months old from the Avforums classified section for £195.. The 3yr warranty is with EVGA so worked out quite a bargain considering the recent price increase.. Might be worth a look in there if you're not too fussed about second hand,.. https://www.avforums.com/forums/computer-classifieds.243/

Why is it terrible? Its a free just because of the state of the market doesn't make this any worse.

I got a 1070 for 311 so there is opportunities to get a good deal. And I would have been chuffed if that was included.

Nice to see the more midrange cards getting something at least!
