Damn used to love this when they did the ground one for machines, can't seem to find it anywhere now. Tried the teabags too but they didnt agree with me I'd have a cuppa then feel myself building a rage for no reason.

The coffee was like speed with me though, just couldnt sit still after a couple of cups and used to get through 8 cups a day! I WANT SOME NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I decided to cut the middleman out and buy 100g of pharmeceutical grade caffeine, it cost just over £5 and is equiavelent to 2000 pro plus, dump about half a gramme in my first coffee of the day for a great pick me up!

I think the extra kick in rocketfuel is the guarana (not to be confused with guana) gonna see if I can buy that in pure form too. (yep you can 100g for £6)

Thanks OP just picked up 2 jars, they are being discontinued according to the lady working there.

It's a slippery slope dude. Slippery slope. :w00t:

Hot deal =] This stuff guarantees to work compared to normal coffee, I recommend it! It's pretty strong and bitter though in my opinion, and certainly not a 'smooth' coffee.
#7
It doesn't taste very nice.

You tried it? Currently I have a large bag of suspicious looking white powder with whats left of 100g pharmaceutical grade caffeine, and a dodgy looking bag of brown powder which is 50g guarana, did buy some capsules to put the caffeine in so have some pills which are the equivalent of 3 redbulls or so, not sure how to take the guarana though yet.

Of course, not doubting your story... but at about 300mg caffeine is on the border of overdose.

Also, after having measured out large amounts of chemicals, I know how hard getting 'about half a gram' right is without scales...

I don`t sleep as it is, I think this stuff would make me a total insomniac!!

It looks like poppers!

I thought this stuff was banned in the UK or certain regions a few years back unless they changed the ingredients, used to buy it in instant form, or the cups that had the red liquid that heated it up for you(guess that was what this is)
#13
I used this for my uni revision - such good stuff!

I buy this now and again purely for the taste. Caffeine in tea or coffee has no effect on me whatsoever which can be annoying when trying the old trick of having a coffee to stay awake. Red Bull does nowt either, in fact sometimes I'll have a coffee to send me to sleep. I must be immune! Anyway, this is a great deal for a quality tasing coffee (if you like strong coffee of course), but as per usual on this site, great to me will be horrible to someone else...However it's certainly not a cheap and nasty coffee. Bargain.

300mg is nowhere near overdose level, its about the same as a litre bottle of kick from tesco's (well just under) as that is 32mg per 100ml, Caffeine becomes toxic at around 2g in humans,

The LD50 of caffeine in humans is dependent on weight and individual sensitivity and estimated to be about 150 to 200 milligrams per kilogram of body mass, roughly 80 to 100 cups of coffee for an average adult taken within a limited time frame that is dependent on half-life. Though achieving lethal dose with caffeine would be exceptionally difficult with regular coffee, there have been reported deaths from overdosing on caffeine pills, with serious symptoms of overdose requiring hospitalization occurring from as little as 2 grams of caffeine.

As for scales I have a set of scales that way to 0.001g that are calibrated, the "about" is because thats the maximimum the capsules will hold when packed tightly, most are probably slightly under as I havent invested in a capsule filler yet.

Agreed its not something you should use if you are uncertain of your own judgement or equipment.

I get much more dangerous stuff on prescription (codeine phosphate - which the body converts to morphine)

I'm the same.
I tried this once (wasn't that fond of the taste really - but then I couldn't find it again) when I was trying to stay awake during a night shift, but it worked for all of... five minutes :| .

has anyone mentioned the side-effects of excess caffeine can have (in particularly on the heart)? i suggest one takes a look on epocrates if u get a chance so that one may avoid self-dosing on caffeine in the hope for cheap pick-me-up
