Anybody pass any real comment on this from someone who hasn't even picked up a guitar or bass. always been something i wanted to try and it'd fit nicely with my midlife crisis ?

Well worth it at this price, it has helped me a lot with learning the bass guitar, and having tools like the riff repeater to help repeat and slow down difficult riffs is brilliant. If you can get the pc version as well because you can download tonnes of custom tracks for nothing

Playing the rhythm guitar version on easy is perfect for a beginner with a variety of songs in the game (You can play lead, rhythm or bass in game.) It's also great fun too. I'm a novice player myself but I know chords and the like but I'm improving a lot in the few weeks I've had the game.

I literally just got a guitar yesterday and this kind of interests me. Mind isn't an electric guitar so that means I won't be able "plug it in and play" right? Any advice on how it works or whether I'd have to buy another guitar to go with this game etc?

your own guitar needs to have the standard jack that you would use to connect to an amp (via a cable)
so unless your guitar is semi-accoustic, then no

Watched a few reviews on this and it looks awesome for learning the guitar. I have wanted a means to learning and having more interaction. Really looking forward to this arriving. This time next year, will have my own band...well we can dream!

Great find mranderson1971.... Been looking all week and best price I found was £50.00. Cheers

Damn! Don't think it is... Anyway thanks for the info, guess I'm gonna have to learn the old fashioned way :(

same price as black Friday deal, heat added as best price around by a mile at present.

I would not recommend playing this with an electro-acoustic anyway as might be tricky to play anything past fret 15. Any cheap electric will do to begin as you just need it for the pick-up to send a signal.

It's a fantastic product for both beginners and intermediates too.

Shame there's still serious issues with the dlc not copying over from x360 to xbone poor show Ubisoft!

Heat, paid 55 from Amazon. Works well if new to the game, issues as aforementioned for people with existing dlc or wanting to import tracks from original game

Are you sure about that?

if you get what's called a pickup you would be able to use your acoustic guitar with this no problem. I'm no expert but believe this to be right

I would advise against this as you might have detection issues and also access issues after fret 12 but definitely after 15 even if it has a cutaway.
