They dont actually charge you for those and can't actually be bought individually.

Also, the offer is 50% off any rockstar package or game.

For example, you can get the Max Payne pack for $9.99 + VAT.

This is very misleading.

Some of the games dont work with Vista. I know for a fact that Manhunt doesnt because I made the mistake of downloading it off Steam a while ago without checking and paid the price.

Beware if you are using Vista because you cannot play it in SP2 mode, it just freezes up on you because of the Data Execution Prevention that Vista uses and you cannot disable it no matter what you do.

Its actually a disgrace that Valve and Rockstar are selling this without a big fat warning on the front of it.
#12
Or a disgrace that you use Vista and dont check compatibility on EVERYTHING you buy first.

Sorry, but that really isnt Valve/Rockstar's fault - old games may not be compatible, and that really is up to the buyer to check.

In any event, scorching price - gutted that I paid £60 for this pack not 6 month ago. Voted hot.

How is it not their fault? They are selling a product through a computer that is running Vista but the games cannot play on it. That is a disgrace.

Compatibility shouldnt be an issue on a modern game. It has never been with previous Steam releases.

And as long as people like you stick up for them the shafting of others will continue.

Anyone know the best control configuration to use, I will run these on a desktop and a laptop but have no controllers as yet.

Are they playable with the keyboard, annoying to do so etc?

Lol OK.

Compatibility of COURSE is an issue on modern games. What a ridiculous statement, A game developer creates a game based on XP, and then MS release Vista. Yes clearly their fault for not coding a game to be compatibile with a OS that had not even been released.

More fool you for having Vista as a gaming machine TBH. But if you will have it, then you need to check compatibility of OLDER games(such as these) - you cant pass that buck onto others!

have to agree with you shed.

googles your friend remember:)

Also, when I check the system requirements on the page(one click) it clearly states Xp/2000.

You cant seriously expect to buy a game without checking system requirements, find it doesnt work because your system did not meet requirements, and then blame the seller can you?
