Not really that great a deal - sorry.

If you look at the actual size of the rolls, these ones from Homebase are much better value and effectively work out to less than half the price of the Npower ones:

Only problem is you have to actually go and get them (no option for home delivery).

PS. If you just need one or two rolls, then the Npower deal is better, as it includes mask, gloves and goggles, otherwise Homebase are better, IMO. Not voted, as safety pack and delivery may make Npower a better deal for some.

I got these the last time and in my opinion miles better than the recycled glass bottles one.
Great price for this
good deal

This is a gr8 deal IMO. I have had 16 rolls just recently and it cost me approx. £50 from N-Power delivered from my local build center. No way would I contemplate picking these huge rolls up in my car- so to me this deal is better than the Homebase one. Cheers!

Sorry, but this has already been posted here

I got these at a £1 a roll from NPower a while ago, so an increase of 300%oO

I got these at £1 as well. Safety kit never arrived.
Over-ordered slightly, I think I have used about 7 of 20 rolls. Shed will be nice and warm though for when I get locked out

Homebase, though advertising it, doesn't seem to have any stock. So this is a better deal if they deliver.

Hot for me. It doesn`t matter about the length difference i personally believe that the rockwool rolls are much much better quality than homebase rolls. How can something so long be rolled and recover at the stated thickness ????? and they are far lighter than rockwool rolls which only tells me that there is less wool in a pack even if they are longer!!!

I tried to order when this was first posted, but Build Centre failed to deliver. Twice I called to find out what was happening and was advised that they had called, but no card was left, re-scheduled the delivery for a day I was in, and again no one turned up! In the end just cancelled as I couldn't rely on them..... Shame really, as this is a good deal.....

Nasty stuff to handle.

Phone the Energy Saving Trust first, you may be eligible to have this installed for free as many areas have full grants available.
EST helpline- 0800512012

they can tell you what other grants are available in your area too, such as cavity wall insulation.

Homebase is significantly cheaper than np offer but as previously stated you must collect. Plenty of availability near me Watford/St Albans

Nasty stuff to handle.

I didn't find it that bad really. No where near as ichy as fibreglass. I fitted over 100m2 of the stuff and found it easy to cut and lay.

As others have said the rockwool is a very nice density and good quality product.

I bought this even though the B&Q product was on offer at the same time. If I had been force to go collect it I'd have probably never done the job.

My 100m2 of 170mm rolls arrived today, all 29 of them! Took a month from order to delivery but in fairness, they would have delivered a week and a half ago if I was in when they called me to book.

Downside is they came in a 9 tonne lorry with crane lift so it couldn't get on my drive way so dropped them on the pavement in 9 roll bundles. I had to separate the bundles and spent 40 mins carrying each one 20-30metres to the back of the house where the garage is.

good deal if like me you can't drive:| .and even though [email protected] has a £3.12 a pack deal on at moment i didnt fancy trying to carry 14 rolls on the bus !oO

Good price only if it is delivered.

Ordered a month ago, payment taken 3 weeks back, was promised 3 delivery dates & a month later Build Center still can not commit to a delivery date. Finally I cancelled my order. Would go for the Wickes offer.
