good price and will some some people ie people with young kids who just can leave them alone etc
what i would say is but the extra 2 years cover as if used regularly the motor on these goes much before anything else, with insurance if it packs in they fix or replace it

Hot Deal, we got a Roger Black Treadmill in January after our old Treadmill died after 3 years of constant use and £189.99 is a good price especially if your split the cost with the people living with you.

Compare this to an Annual Gym membership which people use for 1 week and spend the next 51 weeks regretting and it's an excellent alternative.

The conveinience is much better as you don't have to leave your home to excercise, which is usually the main reason why people stop going to Gym. Also, you can watch a DVD while you run and you also get the motivation to keep up with the Series you are watching. My personal favourite "Treadmill DVD" is 24, watching 2 episodes back to back 4 times a week so a Series lasts for 3 weeks. All 8 Series of 24 would keep you on the Treadmill for a solid 24 weeks, if you eat healthily too just think of the weigh you'll be losing and the fitness you'll be gaining.

If your tempted by this Treadmill I would urge you to go for it.

Been after one of these for months but was never going to pay £400 oO for one. £189.99 with a 2 year warranty you cant really go wrong, great find thanks

Unless someone has a free delivery code, delivery is £8.95 bringing it to £198.94

Still a great price, been looking to pick a treadmill up for a few weeks and glad I waited. Thanks OP

good price but 12Kph is ok as a jog but not much of a running machine !

Tip:

If you can source POV DVD's or AVI's of Train Journeys (they used to broadcast these on satelitte TV all the time once over) Cycling etc, it kinda helps you get into the feel of actually covering some ground. The train journey ones are great, as you can use the station stops as rest peiods!

I use this during my sessions on the air rower.

Good deal I'd say. If I had the room and hadn't recently bought the air rower, I'd definitely have gotten this.

Top speed is not fast, but its not jogging pace either.
3.5 hour pace for a marathon is not jogging in my book.
These things bore me silly, but if you are recovering from an injury they can be very useful.

How does this treadmill compare to the Pro Fitness GM-41003 Folding Treadmill which is also half price £199
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3357389/Trail/searchtext%3ETREADMILL.htm

the pro fitness folds and has a top speed of 14kph but is it a better machine / brand?

Same with me, don't hold your breath about getting it in November either. I work for the company that import for Argos, and they have yet to place an order with their suppliers for this product

Maximum they'd take off another treadmill is £50, despite it being £100 less value of this one

I've cancelled and am looking elsewhere....I'd rather run on the street than give my money to Argos

Worked out quite well for me. I bought this when the £20 voucher for £100 spend was on and i bought it using love2shop vouchers that i got through work. Anyway after being lied to 3 times by argos direct i marched in store and spoke to the manager who told me that there was in fact no stock anywhere of this (not what argos direct had told me) so i could have a refund, only problem was he was offering refund in argos vouchers as they didnt have any love2shop, I argued that i had another reserved in jjb (little fib) and they wouldnt take argos vouchers but would take the vouchers i had originally paid in, after a bit of huffing and puffing i was refunded £200 in cash and told i could keep the £20 of argos vouchers for the hassle. After this length of time i had actually gone off the idea of a treadmill so they did me a massive favour!!

You was right. I got a voicemail from argos and they told me "better you take money back because we not going to deliver it to you".
It is total lose for me, because I have paid by irish credit card and bank charge me for this transaction 5euros if I get my money back then bank will charge me again + double curency changing!
I'm not going to lose any single cent for someone mistake and I am thinking about court.
If they sold me something then they should give it to me or pay all my lose. They lose nothing so why I should? Now they start this promotion and see that this item is so popular, they stop sell it, wait for end of this promotion and then they will start to sell this treadmills with not so big off, maybe 25 per cent.

You can claim money back from this scum argos for this. Its getting to be a VERY common thing with Argos failing to meet deliveries and not having stock. You can actaully get vouceers etc as compensation. EVERY who has been effected can apply!
