Anyone know what kind of helmet strap/mount to get for this?

A professional video reporter friend has what I assume is a slightly better version of this which he prefers to other brands because of the availability of accessories mainly the excellent chest harness which he used on a recent motorcycle ride out. I've wanted to try one but Gopro is too expensive for something I'm not sure I'll use. This price makes it easy to try.
Thanks to OP. Ordered

These look okish for the money, having tried loads of different cams, I'm just put off this one a little bit. The thing is...720p is just a bit meh. Ok you got it for 20 quid. But had you spent just a little bit more, you could have got a camera with truly glorious footage that crosses the line into 'oh I want to watch that again and again' rather than 'here's a passable record of what went on'. You'll use it then upgrade it after 6 months, 20 quid gone. Spend a bit more and get and SJ4000 http://eu.banggood.com/Wholesale-Warehouse-SJcam-SJ4000-WiFi-Car-DVR-Camera-Sport-DV-Novatek-Waterproof-wp-Uk-939976.html?p=FB0917407849201401SD

Mobius is just twenty quid more than this in the original post (code BGDEAL for 10 percent off brings it to 45 quid) http://eu.banggood.com/Wholesale-Warehouse-Mobius-Full-HD-Sports-Camera-1080P-30FPS-720P-60FPS-For-Multirotor-wp-Uk-90648.html?p=FB0917407849201401SD and is just so so so much better than the 20 quid camera.

Here it is up against my Canon DSLR https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9tIIsdAn-g and out and about in Glasgow. No screen, but that's not that big a deal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYh2rXZ4ymo

Even my 808 #16 D lens is 25 quid and better than the original posted https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ex9YYXJH49g

It's just on the wrong side of decent picture quality, sorry. You'll never get the wow factor and wish you'd spent a little bit more. Trust me, been through this plenty.

SJ4000 is nearly 4 x more

Mobius 2.5 times more and out of stock.

808 #16 D lens, I can't really see any noticeable difference and is a different product?

I am still happy after reviewing the you tube recordings and user reviews... Thanks again OP.

The SJ4000 I quoted is their top of the range, comes with Wifi, and a lot of people have trouble telling the footage apart from the decent Gopros at 3 times the cost. It is not nearly 4x more, it's 75 quid -7 (code quoted) =66 which is about 3 times more for a camera which is 9 times better. The SJ is a camera the recipient will still be using in 6 years for a multitude of uses because the footage it produces is glorious, the Rollei will be sitting in the back of a drawer, replaced. I'm sorry, that's just the way it is. I shoot about 4 hours of footage a week on various devices, it's always the same with the low end 720s, the footage is just not good enough to look at for spending just a little bit more. There are other incarnations of the SJ4000 which have excellent reviews like this one http://eu.banggood.com/Wholesale-Warehouse-SJ4000-1_5-Inch-HD-Car-DVR-Camera16GB-MicroSD-TF-Memory-Card-wp-Uk-932750.html?p=FB0917407849201401SD (no Wifi but with memory card, and I know it's not SJCAM but the reviews and footage are good) , code takes it to 55 quid or 48 quid equivalent considering SD card cost, which is just over TWICE the price of the one here quoted for a much much better camera.
Having used the 808 I still always wish I'd gone for the Mobius first, the footage is incomparable. UK stocks probably replenished soon but from their overseas warehouse http://www.banggood.com/Mobius-Action-Camera-1080P-HD-Mini-Sports-Camera-Wide-Angle-Edition-p-917817.html?p=FB0917407849201401SD they do have priority (7-10 biz days) shipping for 3 quid taking it to 50 (-5 discount) =45 quid = 25 quid more than OP's cam for a machine that produces near Gopro results that you'll love for years versus weak footage that you'll want to upgrade. False economy rollei imo. If you just want to spend 20 quid, go for it, I'm just sharing the disappointment I had in wishing I'd paid that little bit more back then and enjoyed the results I do now. The videos speak for themselves. I spent 450 quid on the Canon and I almost prefer the Mobius footage to it, it is unbelievable value for 45 quid, and of course you barely know it's on your helmet/in your pocket.

You are taking a real risk with these on Ebay and Amazon, imo, reason being that SJ4000 is not a trademark and it is highly likely that the SJ4000 you pick up on Ebay or Amazon is just a cheap knockoff, ie 30fps is really 15 (jerky) and the quoted MP is just 'bumped up' nominally from something weaker, resulting in a machine with bad footage that may just bust up on you. You may get lucky. The advantage of the big scale retailer one point of sale is that they are accountable and there is a mountain of feedback, the SJ4000 from them got good reviews and the youtube footage looks excellent. They have them in the UK http://eu.banggood.com/Wholesale-Warehouse-SJ4000-1_5-Inch-HD-Car-DVR-Camera16GB-MicroSD-TF-Memory-Card-wp-Uk-932750.html?p=FB0917407849201401SD 63 quid, say 57 quid taking into account the SD card, then about a fiver off with code (NEWUK or GOODBG) down to 52 quid which is an awful lot of good camera for the money.

These look okish for the money etc.

I bought an SJ4000 last week - still waiting for its arrival - and have been nervous about the first thing I plan to do with it which is to screw it onto the bottom of a plank and send it down a river with various interesting obstacles. I have been thinking of ways to protect my new investment from collisions with whatever it may encounter and I did not hesitate to cough up £23.48 (with shipping) for this in order to reduce my anxiety somewhat.

720p isn't brilliant but there is software which can spline sharpen upscaled SD video pretty well so I imagine that 720p to 1080p might look acceptable.

I just read you whole post again and I am thoroughly disappointed in the demise of enterprise in humanity. Everything has to be new, top end and purpose built.

I have an old iPhone 3Gs. When I upgraded recently to an iPhone 4s (yes, you read that right - I upgraded to an iPhone 4s this year!), I could have either flogged the 3Gs for next to nothing on eBay or thrown it into a drawer, never to be seen again until relatives have to sort through my things at some point in the near or distant future. Instead, I built a makeshift mount out of scrap bits and pieces and bolted it to the front bumper of my old Land Rover Discovery. I shoot time lapsed still images at 2048 x 1536 which I convert and crop to 1080p video.

I have a friend who scoffs at the idea of making anything as, to him, it is a sign of inferiority and has thousands of pounds of debt because he cannot live without the latest and best of everything. He could only find fault with my project - all he could say was, 'can't you control it from another iPhone inside the car?'

What has happened to ingenuity and creativity? I see posts on here regularly for fancy dress costumes. I remember when 90% of the fun of a fancy dress party was in making your costume - now they come as a one piece skin which you slip over your designer clothes!

Never mind, lets celebrate human achievement; a gadget for everything; an incredible mind and body that need to do nothing.

yeah this seems like a good price roughly £25 price on aliexpress and £19.99 on eBay from uk seller supposedly for the generic version. This is a better buy for price product and company.

I have the same generic camera but branded Vivitar. Claimed RRP was £40+. It was in Curry's clearance recently for £14 in a kit with underwater case and several mounts. It's OK for £14 but I wouldn't go a lot higher.

Looks like Rollei is another once-respected brand being slapped on cheap stuff.

I posted a link to the best UK supplier of the most legit SJ4000 you are going to find, certainly at the best price and with best CS. When you apply the discounts you're getting it for about 55 quid plus a bit for the SD card, UK delivered with good company backup and the best quality SJCAM or if you want non SJCAM SJ4000. These other sites you could be getting anything, anyone is using the name SJ4000 these days, even for 'artificial' 13MPixel units that are not great quality. Please be careful.

It's wide angle, yes, A-lens is standard. For 25 quid they're pretty good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4EZ8T1qPd4, you can remove the housing and for putting on planes/quadcopters they're ace. Nowhere near the Mobius though.

Ta. The 808 HQ30 does look nice and smooth on faster moving quadcopters etc at 60fps but lower res and very small and light.

It's pretty nice, yeah. The 60fps has always been the great Gopro feature, SJCAM are releasing the SJ5000 very soon, on pre-order at the moment, this will do full HD at 60FPS but at about 1/3 of the cost of the equivalent GoPro. Price likely to come down to about 100 pounds http://www.banggood.com/SJcam-SJ5000-Plus-Ambarella-A7LS75-FHD-60FPS-Sport-Action-Camera-p-954732.html?p=FB0917407849201401SD
If the current SJCAMs are anything to go by, with 32GB capacity and 60FPS this will give Gopro a serious run for their money imo.
