They're quite good at detecting that a wall is present. Things within the wall however, not so good.

Yes it is Nationwide I got one from the store in Coulby Newham (Middlesbrough), they also had a car jump starter were you connect it to the cars cigarette lighter from your cigarette lighter they were £15 reduced to £9.99

Need something like this to detect wires in the wall before I attempt to mount a wall bracket

I have a similar different branded model. Very hit and miss, but for £3, OK as a guide, especially electrics. Move it across a few times and mark either side of signal, but still cut power before drilling

Its good for locating wooden beams in ceiling but takes many pass overs to be 100% or just tap wall... Its no good for wires unless they are very close to the surface but it does work.

These are pretty good! You just have to adjust the sensitivity and it works fine

I've tried a few of these type of things, including an expensive professional Bosch one. None of them have been very effective.

would it be available at B&M home or B&M bargain store?

These electronic stud finders are pretty useless.

I've got a magnetic stud finder for locating studs and it's brilliant. Works by locating the nails used to affix plasterboard to the studs..
