Yeah but I would rather get one made by a reputable company such as Rolson, then one from a pound shop. Who know's the ones from pound shops might have the wrong measurements after all. X)

You'll probably find that they all come out the same factory, just branded different.

My local 99p Store sells a 7.5 m one.
SEVEN AND AN HALF METRES.
It's pretty decent quality, too, perfectly usable. The shape of the case is more square than this Rolson one, but it seems to be made to a similar design and standard (same plastic, same sort of rubberised cover and same exact cheap, hard vinyl loop (carry strap).
You should try out a few to make sure the sliding button stops and starts the tape reasonably well, but otherwise, it's a bargain. Buying tools for £1 is not generally a great idea, as most won't be fit for purpose or will degenerate / break after minimal use - with a few exceptions, and this is one of those cases.
For comparison, Stanley-brand tape measures are over £20 in my local DIY shop. My eyeballs nearly fell out.
