I know this is an odd deal - but for parents with kids at secondary school - it's a good heads up (well I think so) :-)

Just been into my local tescos (whitstable) and they have a whole load of tools/ diy stuff at £1 (at the end of one of the aisles). As eldest daughter is going to secondary school in September - saw some safety glasses for science for a pound and grabbed them - otherwise I'll be hunting around in the summer cursing at the cost!!!

BTW They are made by Rolson and are adjustable :-)

Well you can always get them for Mother's Day :-)

Got a couple of pairs the other day from Broadstairs, seem good for a quid
#19
They've got safety masks for £1 too. I think there were ten in a pack.

Fairly certain this is a natonal deal. They have then on the end of an aisle with several other Rolson tools - mini- screwdriver set looked good but bit pricey....
#21
I'm pretty certain it is a national deal too - :-)

Yes. I picked up 2 pairs from Cheshunt Extra store (Herts)

Good deal, I've paid more than this for similar glasses. I use them around the house when using certain splashy cleaning products.
#24
Great deal, though your daughters school will most definitely provide any protective equipment they need.
#25
not too sure so got them just in case :-))

Schools will definitely have their own safety glasses for pupils to use. They have to meet certain standards, so couldn't risk pupils bringing in their own glasses that were inadequate. Which means a bonus for you: you can line up lots of DIY for your daughter to do so she can get some use out of the glasses at home.

Boy - she'll be pleased :p

Might try picking up a pair as "safety glasses" for occasional DIY. Might work better than my current "safety goggles" which keep steaming up!
