Not bad for branded product. Colour Dark Oak in my local store which appears to be popular according to the reviews I have read.

Colour and protect your fence in just one coat. Added waxes protect the wood from the effects of the weather whilst advanced resins and light-fast colour pigments ensure superb coverage and protection. Job done in one coat.

* Quick drying in just 1 to 2 hours
* Superb coverage - 5L treats up to 5 fence panels
* Wax enriched formula protects against water damage
* UV filters prevent greying and maintain colour for longer

Can you tell me if this is the Ronseal make as advertised or another brand of paint please? Thank you.

Another question - is this paint suitable for smooth wood as well as rough sawn wood? Just wondering as my neighbour has put up rough sawn wood panels as a fence but has put a strip of wood across the top of the fence that appears to be of a smooth texture.

I'm glad it's not just me,i've tried all different ones, branded and stores own makes and they are all the same, they don't last and come off.

I even complained to Ronseal and i didn't get anywhere,i said i don't know how you can call it one coat because it certainly does NOT cover in one coat and the CS lady said it won't cover in one coat if you're covering a different cover for example,i said i'm not,it's green on green and it does NOT cover in one coat.

As above, none of them stay on for long, they are much of a muchness.

"Woods wood" as my grandad used to say, with his hands in his pockets.
