B&Q's own brand Sprayon Timbercare and Ronseal Sprayable Fencelife are identical apart from the bottle, same product. I work at Ronseal and funnily enough operate the line that fills this sprayable stuff. Not a great deal of difference in the price but every little helps.

Same goes for the brush on stuff. Own brand B&Q and Ronseal are the same apart from the tub.

Very good price shame the product is tosh, the overspray is terrible as is the speed that the nossle cloggs. I took mine back after a couple of hours. just do a search on users opinions on the product. its quicker to paint using a brush than to use this and then clean up!

BVeen in today and bought the sprayer for £8.99, plus they had the 5 litre bottles of Sprayable Fence Life at £3.99 a bottle. Bargain !!

Mine sprayed fine, did loads of fence panels, would never have done with a brush as quick. Voted hot !

I bought the cuprinol battery powered sprayer at the weekend, does anybody know if you can use the B & Q spray on timbercare in the cuprinol sprayer? The cuprinol stuff is £13 a bottle and I have used 2 bottles so far and im still not finished.

Could you let me know how good the Cuprinol sprayer is- my Dad is interested in one, but I suspect painting by hand might be a more thorough job.....

Very good job and it was quick, what would have took me the best part of a day I got done in 10 minutes, only bad thing is when spraying around the edges I got paint on the wall of my house and on the ground but other than that and the price of the paint its good.

I tried ALL 3 off the Cuprinol Sprayers :

The battery one (£30) is mince as it eats the 'C' Size batteries which can be very expensive as it takes loads of them (about 8) and is a total pain to clean when it clogs which is frequent and when it does clog it clogs at the motor end inside the unit which means the whole thing has to be emptied.... extremely messy.

The battery charger one (£40) was even worse. It eats paint like nothing i've ever seen .....i thought i might have been evaporating but no ...it was the sprayer. A whole 5 litres on 2 panels ...:w00t:..... but the worst thing was the same as the battery one .....when it clogs it's a nightmare to clean and when it does clog it clogs at the motor end inside the unit which means the whole thing has to be emptied.... extremely messy.
....and it clogged frequently.....even using the correct Cupriniol Plus fence paint.

I ended up sticking with the hand pump (£20) one which i found to be the best. A little messy but more controllable than the other two. A plus side is ...as the pressure runs out before pumping you actually get a more accurate spray to finish off edges etc. This only clogged once during the whoile time i used it ....and even them it was just the nozzle end ....so nice and easy to get going again !

Go for the Pump Sprayer !!!

I only used 2 bottles of it and nothing clogged, I have the one that takes 8 batteries and it was very easy to clean, just wash out the tank with water then fill with water and spray all the excess paing from the hose, batteries still working fine but I will say that it does use a lot of paint imo.
