I know house prices are falling but this is ridiculous! A 4 bedroom house with 3 receptions rooms, a kitchen and 2.5 bathrooms for £105 is sweet. What’s the catch; oil powered central heating?

The check in time is a little late for me and the fact that it's sunday-thursday that the cheap rate rooms can be booked for. I'm gonna try and gun for it though, nice find.

nice bargain if you are fast

Who wants to go to Birmingham? They would have to pay me in order to stay there. I think I will give this one a miss.

Have stayed here, the rooms are very small and offer no privacy whatsoever but are ok for one night. Prob ok for one person but a couple in one room and you are literally like sardines
#6
Just had a look at the website and have to say the rooms do look incredibly small, 2 coathangers on the wall instead of a wardrobe area. Have just had another look, Betty are my eyes deceiving me or is the bathroom door clear glass :o

Also noticed this:-
Parking: several Car Parking options available nearby. Closest is Mailbox at £17 for 24 hours. There is also metred on-road parking outside the hotel that is free from 6pm until 8am daily (free all day on Sundays).

Good deal if you work in the city and commute by train or a single person wanting to stay over ;)

He says hailing from cosmopolitan Glasgow... :whistling:

nice spot, but yes the rooms do seem just a little OTT pokey (6.8 sq. metres..with a 42" TV!?!)

anyway, 10am on Friday 13th I'll be on my way down to london for a £30 weekend at the Hoxton :-D
so excited!!
(also suffers from the glass bathroom doors, but at least its tucked away round the corner, not the focal point of the room :p)

I have stayed here before- I really do love it. As they say, the rooms are small, but great for 1 person. Yes it is frosted glass through to the ensuite wet room. Whilst the size of the rooms resemble my university accommodation I have to say I found it nicer and much more fun. The 42inch plasma is also your window as it has a webcam on the hotel roof with a live feed on to the tv.

The hotel won't be to everyone's taste, however if you want somewhere clean, comfortable and in a decent location then this is one hotel always worth bearing in mind because of the reasonable prices. Didn't have any privacy problems when i was there. Plenty of vending machines around the building too for those late night snacks. Also has internet access.

It's worth remembering for anyone who needs to stay or be fairly close to Birmingham New Street station or the Bullring, as its only a few minutes walk away.

Voted hot, great find. If I can delay work on friday I will be online booking this one!

The Hoxton is decent, stayed there on many an occasion now but surely £30 for the weekend is a little ambitious. Dinner and drinks for a Friday night alone last time cost over a tonne.

On a different note The Grille is getting a decent rep in the City for drinks

Brum is an excellent night out, with fantastic dining, pubs and clubs.

Further, it is now well recognised as one of THE shoipping capitals of Europe - the new Bullring is superb.

10 squid for a stay at what is a decent hotel - with a nice fresh feel albeit the rooms are of course compact. No complaints there. Plus, free parking if you go for a Saturday night and go home anytime on Sun.

Works for me!

Oh god who designed this place? I would never stay there unless i was on my own (who the heck thought a glass bathroom door is a good idea?!) and felt like having an attack of claustrophobia (the rooms do appear to have no window, a webcam on the tv is not a suitable replacement).

Perhaps for a tenner, and i was desperate for somewhere to stay, and i was alone, i might consider here. But the normal price is from £54.95. Give me a travelodge any day.

Its VERY simple....the offer is £10 for a nice modern (yes small) room in the centre of the second city. So, without doubt HOT! Simple!
