How?

As was mentioned on the B&Q deal, this is not an official "FreeSat" box meaning it might not be compatible with OTS services like iplayer, etc. I'm not an expert so perhaps somebody else could explain.

Yeah, not technically a Freesat box, so won't have things like the "red button" or BBCi. You will however be able to get each individual BBCi stream as it's own channel.

If you already have a mini dish installed you can pick up an actual Freesat HD box cheaper.

can this be pointed at other satellites? ie hotbird digital or any other EU ones?

I remember the old astra 19.2E days, and eutelsat, used to get lots of interesting channels, not like today, all you seem to get on most sky chanels is adverts wanting your gold in the daytime and companies selling pointless keep fit machines and food appliances at night.

This is not a Freesat Receiver, the title is misleading, it is a Free to Air Receiver.

The title needs changing.:x

I just got SKY+ HD box, Free fitting and free HD pack for twelve months. Sky contact you and offer it as a loyalty reward, just have to commit to 12 month contract but can cancel HD pack after this period if you want to and keep the box!!

What has any of that got to do with this offer/

This is nothing to do with Sky, or their contracts.

I expect so.
Can't find it online though.
Astra 19E and Hotbird 13E are the ones to go for.
Would say 1W as well, but limited "watchability" soon I feel.
Make sure the box has over 2000 channel capacity to scan everything from both sats in.
