These seem to get some great reviews, and 150.00 off seems a bargian, looked on the forum and the cheapest deal which was not online was 130.00.

99.00 For a good name, and great speakers,

Thanks to OLDENGLISH, Did not see the free 10.00 voucher, so buy some speakers wire as well.

saw these in tesco not long ago for £150 . was well impressed with the numbers game, they claimed that they where less than half price, a little googling showed some shocking reviews , verdict , would stay well away from these , there are some tannoys at richersound for £99 maybe that would be the way to go.......
#5
Notice that the centre that you guys are quoting is out of stock everywhere, at least where I looked
#6
there on the bay for nearly the same..........but as above AA says it would make a very cheap 5.1
#7
The Tannoys that were posted earlier would be better than these, but not a bad price for budget floorstanders.

bought pair from costco last year for £99 plus vat using as rear speakers for my 5.1 cinema surround, very good also saved me cutting walls for wires
#9
You'd have been mad to buy at anything like full price,,,,,

Well specc'd at the price but I wasn't impressed with the sound at all and would choose the Tannoy F3 every time over these. Mileage may vary so if your after a budget speaker and can do I'd go listen to the F3's first.

Roth is a marketing company with little or no engineering credibility. They take cheap Chinese products, put the Roth badge on them, and over-charge you for it. Stick with what you know..... this isn't a respected brand in the industry.

Totally unfounded statement, you have no proof of this, and by the by, most top end equipments is manufactured in china or japan, and you have no idea what parts they use, you dont work for them, and from you statement, you have never even listened to these speakers.

Also on avforum and what hifi they are a very well regarded budget speaker.

I have listened to the bookshelfs and I thought they were amazing speakers for 50.00 when they were on offer for that price. But I bought Monitor Audio RX6 pack instead.

i heated them but not sure about the SQ

They are not AMAZING!! If they were they would be 700.00 but come on, they are a good name for budget speakers, and 99.00 + free next day delivery and 10.00 voucher as well,

These have 2 speakers instead of one, you will get better base response.

When you can get a pair of Tannoys for the same price I wouldn't even consider the Roth's an option.

Wow... amazing insight there, yeah there are two SPEAKERS. Because they're a PAIR of STEREO speakers!
But what you probably meant to say was that they have DRIVERS (those little circle things on the front...!) and I have no idea what the BASE's response has to do with anything here... but I'll also have to assume you meant BASS (see, no 'e'!) and no, more DRIVERS don't mean more 'base response' and if you think it does you really shouldn't be commenting on anything sound related...

And amazing speakers don't have to cost anywhere near £700. Anyone that picked up a pair of Tannoy F series floorstanders from Richer's for a steal (I got the F4 customs a few years back for £119!) will know this...

What little you know! I have worked with James Roth and he has cloth ears! He would probably admit that himself. He's a marketeer, not an engineer.

Buy them because they look cool.
Buy them because they are cheap.
But this isn't hi-fi, there is plenty of stuff out there that sounds so much better, even at this price point!

they got a terrible review on what hi-fi website.... enough said.

these JAMO's are very good speakers for £249.99 on a low budget & includes free cables. My brother bought them & it sounds very good. even without a sub.

Just bought a pair of these from AV Bristol, great service, true they are not the best speakers in the world but they are good value for the money. I wouldnt attach them to a good setup but they are more than adequete for "casual" listening, I have a sonos connected and they are fine (with the bass turned up, rather tinny without doing that!). Regarding the What Hi Fi review, that was based on a price in excess of £250 and against speakers of a similar price point, I am sure it it wouldnt have been so poor at £99! (there are plenty of other speakers getting 3 stars).
