Usually around £550. Nearly punted myself, but decided to hold out for a complete Flow deal.

don't know why power meters are so expensive, would love one myself just can justify the cost.

Why would you need one of these. Not a criticism, just wondering why you would need to know how much pedal pressure you are exerting. Is it like having a fitbit for your bike?

It can help in training and whilst racing, on a long event (a 6 hour Ironman leg for example) it can be used to pace yourself and not overdo it. A cheaper way is just to use a heart rate monitor but in long events cardiac drift can effect your heart rate anyway so isn't an ideal measure.
