watch the fun unfold as liverpool discover that despite hodgson leaving, they will still be dreadful.

They need a heavy investment, and a clean out of crap players, not a new manager lol

Coming from Wolverhampton, I would just propose a vote of thanks to Roy for all the help and assistance he provided recently to get us out of the relegation zone.

Hardly surprising - i'd be gutted being an Everton fan. King Kenny will be welcoming you to Anfield on the 16th. Be afraid - be very afraid!!!!

Didn't need a new manager? absolute nonsense!

Any Liverpool fan will accept that the squad is not strong enough to compete with Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man C and Spurs. However, Blackburn, Blackpool, Wolves, Newcastle and Stoke are not teams Liverpool should be losing to with their current squad. It's packed with world cup players and other internationals.

Gerrard's penalty miss against Blackburn was clearly deliberate. At half time there was a bust up between Gerrard and Hodgson regarding Agger and Kyrgiakos. Gerrard and Torres have clearly not been happy with Hodgson's long ball tactics which don't suit either players - especially Torres who doesn't have a chance against a strong central defender.

To get back competing for the top 4, they need a clear out of the crap players and purchase of a couple of quality players. However, there is a massive gap between there and where they are now and that gap can be closed with improve moral and better management.

No doubt you're in the "Hodgson inherited Rafa's poor squad" media led band wagon..Finishing 7th last season is far better than sitting 4 points off the relegation zone...The difference is that the players the left (Mascherano and Yossi) were not replaced with decent players by Hodgson and Hodgson is simply not up to the job.

How many players did Benitez buy?

Must have been over 70, and he's already been sacked at AC Milan.

Kenny won't fare any better, and will head back upstairs ASAP.

You've got 30 y/o folks that can't remember Liverpool last winning the title.

AC MILAN dont you mean inter milan. benitez made money on most of his transfers, and we've made profits in the last 2 transfer windows.

Well, first off, imo managerial roles are extremely overrated, its the quality of players which win games, if they had that, they wouldn't be squabbling. Hicks Out, Gilette out, rafa out, hodgson out, it is quite laughable.

And not being able to replace the players is hodgsons fault? i think u will find it is the fault of the owners, liverpool lost some key players and the cash was mopped up and went into paying off deficits. He should have been given to the end of the season at least with some funds in the transfer window from the new owners.

This season is over for liverpool anyway, so what difference is this going to make? they weren't ever realistically going to get relegated.

All that is left now is a lot of deluded fans thinking kenny is gonna win them the league.

Nice to see that an addidas holdall has brought out al the football experts who know so much about what has been going on at LFC in the recent past.

Not wanting to get into 'he said, she said etc', I will just say that I am very happy with the current situation.

Yeah, I meant Inter Milan.

Let's see how Kenny fares.

My good friend used to play beside him at Celtic, and I remember when Kenny played for Cumbernauld United.

ROFLMAO!

Are you trying to say that if you or I stepped into the role of manager of Man U that we'd win the premiership???

Quality of player? No disrespect to Wolves, Stoke and Blackpool, but those teams do not have players of the same quality as Liverpool. So how can all of those teams beat Liverpool - Wolves and Blackpool at Anfield too!

Please don't insult me by telling me that I will find that it's the fault of the owners (Hicks & Gillett) that Hodgson had little to spend as it was going on the deficit (actually, it was the interest!!!). Although, at least you can understand Rafa's predicament!

If Liverpool were to carry on losing to teams like Wolves and Blackpool then there most certainly is a chance of relegation!

Oh, and if you really think that Liverpool fans think Kenny is going to win the league then you're the deluded one!

Liverpool always have lost to the bottom table teams and beaten the top teams, how long u been a liverpool fan? lol

And no, i didn't say i could manage any team, i just said that too much emphasis is placed on the manager.

Furthermore, i wasn't trying to insult you, however your argument in return is pedantic, deficit, interest... who cares, same difference, it wasn't available to spend on new players.

Oh, and btw, i didn't say all fans, i said a lot of liverpool fans.
