don forget to use code PZXP this will bring down to £21.60. these are decent quality.

Ordered one myself yesterday. Hope it is OK!
#3
A little digging and I found the decanter is 26.5 fluid ounces which is about 75cl in real numbers!

Think I'll order one of these, heat added.

How long does whiskey last in a decanter before going off (roughly) ?

No no no no no no.

26.5 fluid ounces is the real number, not the funny European one. It's probably 26 2/3 fluid ounces in reality, which is exactly 1 'bottle' which is the quantity that wines and spirits came in before those nasty Johnny foreigners changed things.

Tempted... would certainly make a nice gift.

In reality only a week or two depending on how good the seal is, better to decant small amounts that you are likely to polish of within that time.

Maybe I should have said in todays numbers, lol... either way its about 75cl which as you say is the size of a standard bottle.

Purchased for my Dad's 65th Birthday - perfect! May get it engraved as well from a local shop...
#13
Engraving could damage as its not very thick glass..so be careful who you give it to.They may want to to accept risk of damage as part of their attempt to try and engrave it.
#14
not a 'ships' decanter, just a normal decanter!
#15
Yeah got a set myself

nice price and nice item...hot from me but not a ships decanter....a ships decanted is much wider at the bottom than at the top, this was to help the decanter stay balanced and prevent it from falling over when on a ship at sea. :p

stupid xenophobic post.
75cl is logical, 26 2/3 fl oz is plain daft

So i take it you agree that 75cl is average size of a bottle of whiskey. ( pressuming as you say its logical ) Both sizes are still correct.
what whiskey do you buy cause ive never actually seen a 75cl bottle in my life. Ive heard most bottles are 70cl but thats too small for me. i always buy 35.1950 fl oz bottles . 1litre for the logical crew out there

tbf, nowhere in the quotes you included does it mention whiskey specifically...

'wines and spirits' are mentioned. a standard size wine bottle is 75cl...

Nice price for a house decanter
#29
Looks nice, too posh for me tho, will make do with the bottle the stuff comes in.
#30
It's now out of stock, just tried to order one and despite it still being listed as in stock, you can't place it in the basket anymore.

Mine arrived and two of the glasses are broken, not surprising as the packaging (or complete lack there of) was abysmal.
Really disappointed.
