This definitely a saving so why cold

Because D&G is a pain in the posterior.
I use my local post office quite a lot, and not a day goes by that the staff don't moan about it, they have to sort out all the parcels, weigh them, print off the tickets etc, all while the customer isn't there, great for the customer who has dropped and gone......NOT so great if you are waiting in line to be served and the poor woman at the counter is on her own, doing a sack full of crap while a massive queue builds up.

Do you use the Drop and go service?
Why not complain to to the Post office.
This a good offer with savings to be had, the deal is not about whether your local post office have the staff to man the service or not.

Cost of medium parcels is not too bad, same no discount on small parcels. I normally send medium parcels by Myhermes and hope for the best. May now stick with the PO as they normally get there quicker and I feel more assured it will get there in one piece.

Maybe though with hermes you can see its been delivered so ebayers are less likely to lie. Also hermes compensation is alot easier than royal mail, plus they give you the price you sell for on ebay even if you get ebay fees back where as royal mail you need receipt from when you bought it and you only get that after they try to fob you off with stamps.

And as always your views shouldn't count on a deal - to many morons post cold for their warped reasons. Is the price better than it usually is? Is it the best price for the product? YES AND YES so only a hot is relevant really unless you want to ruin the site like many others....

Myhermes are scum. Lower than scum. They managed to completely destroy not one but *both* parcels I sent - to two different addresses - and lose another completely. They then refused to pay compensation because I had not paid extra for "enhanced coverage".

If you're looking for a cheap way to destroy your goods, then by all means, use Hermes. Otherwise, it will be a good day when that company dies a painful death.

Could not agree more, HDNL/MyHermes/Yodel are the bane of the postal world and I would pay extra to not use them (as a customer purchasing things online)

Thanks used Royal Mail and very good service for me till now.

I tried to set this up with my PO office and no one really had a clue what to do with it, i was given a card and a form to fill out.

What do people find as the best way to send Small parcels (£3.20) or Large Letter (£1.24) with an average of 20 a week, currently just use their online service and just print off the prepaid labels.

cheers

Ive no intention of using post office again, MyHermes is much cheaper, no queues at post office and they track parcels so none go missing. Even with the discount its more expensive than MyHermes

Nice!

Do you still have to stand in the queue while it seems almost everyone else in front of you is there for non-postal reasons?

Really wish they would do two seperate queues, one for post one for everything else. Hate having to go on my lunch break to stand for 15min while people are withdrawing money from their post office account, sorting out insurance etc when all I want to do is post a small parcel.

I got this email also, seems like a good offer. I am a drop & go customer and never had any problems, best bit is walking past the normal queue - feel like royalty!

BTW it is an offer from Post Office, not Royal Mail - separate companies now following Privatisation of Royal Mail.

No good to me all my parcels are small parcels recorded i spent £11000 last year with royal mail and they lost £543.00 worth of goods where the lazy postman could not be bothered to get a signature for the item so the ebayers get their money back by saying that they have not received the item.
Would be nice to include the small parcels as royal mail know that they are losing parcel and business customers big time and i myself are looking to find a new better delivery company with staff that do the job properly, i name and shame postman to the sorting office involved when my honest customers message me that a recorded parcel was left without a signature ROYAL MAIL PLEASE SACK THESE POSTMAN THAT GIVE YOU A BAD NAME ITS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE
