RS-283/284 tripod and RSH-24 3-way head for £49.95 @ Red Snapper
As in the title.
This deals appeared once nearly a year ago (if I remember correctly) and sold out fairly quickly - I bagged myself one. The Red Snapper tripods are quite highly rated, my was very good, too. The included carry bag is great, I wouldn't be surprised if the bag alone were sold for some 15-20 quid in Jessops or Curry.
The only thing to be aware of is DO NOT unscrew the segments completely when you want to extend the leg 'cause the segment may be detached from the leg. Re-fitting it to the leg is a bit tricky and that involves a small plastic piece that is fragile. I broke one of these pieces (NOT the tripod segment/leg) and got the replacement from the company.
Btw, their customer service is excellent, very personal, quick and efficient.

HOT! I need a monopod though
The 283 has 3-segment legs, the 284 has 4-segment legs, everything else is the same. Theoretically the 3-segment should be a bit more sturdy but I have never heard any problem about the 284. Practically the 284 will be shorter retracted.

PS: COULD COLD-VOTERS EXPLAIN WHY YOU VOTED THIS COLD? Many users have confirmed that the tripod is of very high quality, and the kit is great value for money. Customer service is excellent, too.
