  Some people just don't get it. Fly to Vegas stay as long ( or little ) as you want there and then explore the area with a hire car. The Grand Canyon, The Hoover Dam, Zion, Bryce Canyon and Death Valley national parks to name just three. Yup, some people just don't get it.

  BINGO! - this is a bit of a no brainer for people who can make these dates and want to go California / Nevada / West Coast etc etc...
  
  Typically, flights to West-Coast America are £500+
  
  Grab a hire car, go and do San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Death Valley, Yosemite etc etc - there's all sorts of places you can roam around in the space of 14 days. You don't have to stay in Vegas if you don't want to!!

  getting out of LV to anywhere significant is 300 miles in one direction, gas is quite cheap though. maybe some places are closer but that's what you'd need to bear in mind. US is huge !!
