Yes, a third party seller that I made contact with. Asked me to complete the deal using a fake Amazon link and a bank transfer. Shame Camel make no reference to dubious sellers that Amazon seem to permit to trade using their website!

Note the RED. Never been cheaper via a bona fida seller, unless you can prove otherwise?

A good price for one of these! Very good quality product

I know it is only 10% off, but since I have been following prices and subsequently bought one, I have never seen it cheaper from a 'reliable' seller.

Cannot understand the 'Cold' this is getting from a few misguided folk.

If anyone voting cold can find it cheaper anywhere else, let me know! :)

That will be the 99p and £1 shoppers, who down vote anything pricier than Alba, Amstrad or Bush.

Ruark Audio is a UK company, who design and MAKE things in the UK.

If you doubt their equipment is worth the money, go ask for a tour, I am sure they will be happy to show you around.

Tunner. Deal probably wasted on here.

The masses prefer brands such as Technika or Goodmans :D

The RED is just the MRRP. Note the BLUE.

you can get it for 549 on Ruarks own website under graded products. Their version of graded usually means damaged box. I've bought 3 graded products and they've all been perfect.

Funny how everyone is arguing dole vs in a job. Middle class vs making money stretch etc. But nobody is talking about the sound, or why the components cost this much or if its hand built etc. Its probably very good but its not worth a pony! If its all about the sound then tell us about that (_;)

The sound quality is excellent, as is build and looks. I've the Ruark MR1 and they're fantastic sounding bluetooth speakers, approaching proper hifi. We also have the Ruark R2 (which is like a mini r4) which also sounds great with different sources. These items are all above regular bt type speakers and in a different league to most stuff.

Is that okay?

The normal trick for third party sellers which Camel would then follow, is to offer an item with a substantial discount, but to email them direct for more info. Needless to say, I passed all the email on to Amazon and the non-existent item was then removed. CamelCamelCamel is only half the story, the only way to tell if something is a bargain is to look regularly.

Stonkingly brilliant audio and build quality and as this has been voted cold, when it is a clear bargain. It will be my last ever deal submission, as I just cannot be bothered taking the time to post anymore.

Post away, some things can go cold just due to price. Im sure if I posted my custom Larrivee OM 10 at £1800 which was a steal, it would go minus a billion degrees lol

A few things I can vouch for, largely from personal experience:

1 It's an excellent product. Beautifully styled, extremely well made, fantastic sound quality.

2 Despite the misleading Camelcamelcamel evidence, this is very rarely sold below £649 - you might well ask the Competiton and Markets Authority just why that is, but that's another matter entirely. If it ever appears on Amazon from a Marketplace seller at substantially below that there is almost always a problem with the seller, the item, or both. I know - I tried for ages to find one. Superfi had a 20% voucher cashback deal last November and that was the only way to get a decent discount on one.

3 Which? shows Ruark as by far the highest rated and most reliable radio manufacturer - bar none. Denon is the runner up, but some way below Ruark.

It's not for everyone (as the cold votes show). But neither is Miele, and neither is a top-end Mercedes. ;)

like I've said you can get Ruarks products cheaper on their graded products page.
