Yep - it tastes nothing more than sugared water with colouring and bulking powder.

Rubbish drink !

Far better to visit any of the local Asian food markets/local shops anf buy a box of the real thing and make a smoothie.

As soon as I see a fruit juice that has the word "drink" on the box/bottle it's game over! :x

The part that I pick up on in the product info is how much they push the virtues of the pure mango but that's not what they are selling :whistling:

A related but tangential point - the yellow mangos (generally South East Asian) are the best variety for me - is that the type they grow in Pakistan - I'd have thought that would be a bit far North?

Any south asian variety is good IMO... all to do with the general climate, if the temperature is high enough Im sure they will grow.. we grow various types on my family's farms in India... Western State of Gujrat, fairly north...and fairly close to Pakistan too. Gotta taste em to believe em...they make the BEST smoothies!

I don't think YOU read it right, that link clearly lists it as halaal, not haraam!! Have another read of it and you'll hopefully see :)

OK it's not haraam in everyone's opinion but i still think it's best avoided as there's still a chance they're not using it as a flavour carrier. I think it's best to avoid and treat as haraam anything your unsure of.
