As the Establishment attacks him more vehemently the more I like him.

The Trotskyist Redgrave's never rattled the Establishment's cage. He must be doing something right. Perhaps the Establishment is frightened of Anarchy.

I used to be a huge fan of his, but he's begun to irritate me more and more in the past few months.

Any time I hear Russell Brand speak all I can think of is the episode of Friends where Joey is writing a letter and replaces all words with words he has found in the thesaurus.

It's hard to have faith in the people mind you when people are mindlessly cold voting this even though it stands up as being the best current deal on this particular product. When will people wake up?

Maybe people just don't like dipsticks like Russell Brand.

Haven't voted either way.

Perhaps. Anyway, I think he's going to prove a lot of people wrong.

Used to find him funny but he now seems blighted by a sense of messiah complex...he wishes to come across as the voice of truth in a corrupt and evil world! Anyone who saw him on Question Time can see he only really appeals to the 'yoof' and nutters :| ...he even made Farage look good :D

it's an unfortunate aspect of HUKD - some deals are posted where people vote because of an external issue, not because of the deal being a good deal.

Try posting one from The Sun newspaper and see what happens

Prove people wrong that he's not the fraud / hypocrite the mainstream media are making him out to be. No action? He's busy working to help people all over the place (firefighters, new era estate, drug users etc) Read his book, read some Noam Chomsky or Naomi Klein and you might start to understand where he is coming from.

Blighted by a sense of Messiah Complex? Are you really that stupid? It's about Gandhi being used to sell computers and Che advertising Mercedes-Benz NOT that he claims to be GOD.

I don't think the media ARE making him out to be a fraud or hypocrite... just showing what a **** he is. And i'm referring to his politics rather than small background things whe i say no action. MOST celebrities with money have charitable sidelines going on but unlike Russell Brand, they don't use them as some kind of self promotion card or defense weapon.

Unfortunately on the whole things change very slowly when it comes to the world of politcs with a few exceptions. Russell Brand does have a big social media following and the media do like to big up somebody only to try to trash them at some point in the future.

Russell Brand seems to be trying to raise awareness of certain important issues and to get people talking. Fine, so solutions aren't always offered. Some issues are rather complex in nature and require a lot of hours getting a change for the better into place. One person cannot get everything done on their own. In any case from making awareness and others discussing what has been said, better solutions may come to light as people share ideas. It is kind of him to spend his spare time trying to improve things...his recent second programme on drugs was interesting...especially when the studies mentioned in the programme were totally ignored by David Cameron and things continued to be the 'same as' strategy which isn't really working.

So much time and money gets wasted because people and organisations won't just admit that what has been going on is not working or helping. Instead they carry on the same attitude which hinders great outcomes from being achieved which will benefit others and improve things for lots of people. You only have to look at the benefits cuts/bedroom tax versus the company tax aviodance schemes for an example. Yes it is true some people abuse the benefits system but the majortiy do not. A simplified and fair tax system could be put in place although accountants probably would not like that!

Deal voted hot as it seems a good price :)

Far from it, the man is not a idiot.

Did you even read my post. I said... yes, he dows but so do many. Difference is they're not flouting it trying to score brownie points. The fact tou've just reeled off his list prooves it.
