just what i need my fryer broke yesterday
#2
good price but I would never buy another deep fat fryer after my last one exploded - popped the lid off and covered the kitchen and me in hot fat (thank goodness my kids weren't in the room at the time)
It was in fact this fryer but in silver, I had only had it about 6months!!

I assume you reported this to Russel Hobbs,if so what did they find caused the explosion ?

No I didn't but I really really should have, It sat in my garage afterwards for about 6months of waiting for me to write the letter, but there was always other things which had to be done first, so it just got chucked away in the end!

I really wish I had though as it could have stopped it happening to somebody else :o(

Looks good, but no timer?

I have recently purchased this fryer. The instructions state you must remove the lid during use and only replace it when the oil is cool, this is counter intuitive to all other fryers I have used. Why is there a viewing window and a filter if the lid is only for storage? - any guesses
